Overview
Set in Sweden’s first railway station building, this B&B is next to Lake Nedre Fryken, less than 5 km from Kil town centre. It offers a spacious garden with outdoor seating and BBQ facilities. Individual décor and shared bathroom facilities are provided in all Sköna Rum Fryksta rooms. Some have free Wi-Fi and views over the lake. A shared kitchenette with a fridge, cooking hobs and microwave is found in the annex building. Sköna Rum’s main building offers free Wi-Fi, as well as a library and communal fridge and microwave. Guests can rent bicycles on site and explore the surroundings, such as the public beach with a mini golf course, just 500 metres away. Kils Golf Club is a 5-minute drive away, while central Karlstad is 25 km from the B&B.

“Cosy and kind place”
Very clean and nice room, wonderful location - the room had a view to the lake. Staff was flexible and kind, and the breakfast was delicious. Everything was great, looking forward to visiting again!

“Swedish nature at its best”
Really beautiful location above the Nedre Fryken lake, with some historic sites near the shore: an old steam boat, a train engine, and a stone commemorating that the first Swedish railroad was built nearby. Very clean and comfortable facilities. Staff was very accommodating.

“Guesthouse near the lake”
The nice atmosphere of the main house. The easiness of checking-in. To be able to use the kitchen for making your own dinner in the adjacent building. There is coffee and tea which can be used by everyone. We had one day the offered breakfast, which was very good, especially for that price. The location is great, direct near the water.

“Great B&B”
We had a great stay at this B&B. Amazing location, close to the water and great garden to relax in. We had a room in the smaller building with shared bathroom, but due to covid restrictions every room had its own bathroom. Owner is a friendly couple, interested in others and helps anywhere they can. Breakfast could not be served in the main room, but the owner prepared a great breakfast that we had in the garden, so all good. Would for sure stay here again
