“Magical winter experience at Suomutunturi”
We loved our stay here. The beautiful, cosy cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed. After a day of hiking and exploring, the Sauna was a delightful extra We slept very well in the comfy bed. The Highlight was the location: surrounded by woods - a fairy-tale winter landscape- yet close to Suomutunturi (Hotel, Bar, activities). Do your shopping in Kemijärvi before you arrive. There is a small convenience store at the gas station where the road to Salla begins. The Hotel Suomutunturi is a nice place for a drink in the evening. They also offer a lot of cool experiences. We did a dog-sledge tour with Tamara Schlemmer that we booked through the hotel reception. That was a lot of fun. With more time we would have tried more of their activities. We would love to come back:) Also: communication with the staff of Varaamökki was very easy and swift. We got help very quickly when we needed it.

Very cosy and clean. Everything necessary was there, even sauna and outdoor grilling space. Very helpful owner.
