Overview
Located in the quiet area of Ķegums, the Oškrogs offers warmly decorated motel rooms, a café and a sauna. Guests can taste regional, Latvian dishes in the restaurant and enjoy free Wi-Fi. The Oškrogs features a drink bar as well as a sunny terrace. There is a sauna at a surcharge for the visitors’ relaxation as well as an on-site children’s playground. The restaurant features visible, green wooden beams and offers a wide variety of traditional, regional meals, prepared with local products, including wild berries and freshly caught fish. Breakfast is free of charge. The motel is situated 600 metres from the Līčupe River and 1 km from Ķegums HES highway, connecting Rīga with Jaunjelgava.

“Charming and affordable.”
The staff was lovely. It seemed like a family-run business. Charming. The place was cozy, and it felt like the motel had been converted from an old manor house. It had that old-time charm :)

The place is calm and surroundings peaceful. On-site restaurant offers great deals and the breakfast is outstanding.

Room was clean, bed was really comfortable. We had everything we needed. Would be great if there were night lamp or other things, to make room cozy, warm. Breakfast was really nice. Staff was helpful and kind.

“There I was not able to find a place what would be friendly to dogs. So finally I did .”
Dogs was allowed and nearby there are nice small restaurant. Also early morning walk was very nice in beautiful forests or river near by.

Outdoor walk from restaurant to room was dark. I tripped over raised bricks and nearly fell because it was dark.
