“Friendly and welcoming stay in a surprisingly charming little town”
We only chose to stop in Kazuno because it worked with our route and we thought the guesthouse seemed like great value. It did not disappoint. Our stay was short but wonderful. This was the cleanest, most welcoming, and most comfortable of similar shared guesthouses we've stayed in Japan. I would highly recommend travelling via Kazuno and staying here. In addition, dinner at そらにほし was an unexpected food highlight of trip!

“A super host in a nice Japanese house. Don't miss it.”
Maki is a super host. She was such nice and helpful. As she learned that I will come earlier to visit Oyu Stone Circle. A early check-in was absolutely no problem and she had printed out the bus schedule to Oyu. The room was cold, but it was Winter and the house is old Japanese house. The atmosphere compensated it. By the way the bed was so comfortable and warm. I even did not want to get out of it.

This place has so much soul and energy and it's worth a visit to Kazuno if you want hidden gem authentic Japan and lots of snow. Loved every second

Super spacious and comfortable room. Really wanted to stay longer but had to take the first Hanawa Line train😭😭

The reception messages and notes ensured that the host wanted the guests to be welcome even in her absence and make one feel at ease with the new surroundings. The host was very friendly, helpful and made us feel at home.

Beautiful well designed guesthouse with fully equipped kitchen and dining room. Cozy living room with beautiful deco. Separate toilets for males and females. Enjoyed the bath with hot tub.. Highly recommended. Would be much better if there is toilet at first floor as the stairs are quite steep..

“Something different in Kazuno”
It's a house. You have a bedroom and you're free to use lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The host is welcoming and friendly. We (another guest as well) sat around and chatted in the evening. I really enjoyed being there and would like to have stayed longer but was already committed to a schedule.
