The house is very well designed, stylish and clean with a traditional house renovated, it was a comfortable stay and we enjoyed ourselves a lot

It is to be noted we did not stay at Mishima due to difficulty with entry instructions. No person was on site, fortunately they honoured a refund

It is a refurbished traditional Japanese house. The lodging is at the back of a shop so it is away from the road and very private. Shop only operates during lunch so there is no disturbance. Well-thought amenities. Comfortable beds on the 2nd floor, huge bath with a garden view and shower. Free parking.

I was expecting to get only a room but was happily suprised finding a well equiped kitchen and bathroom + a lovely living room. The owner has put great attention to the small details which made our stay extra comfortable. The house is really cute and the restaurant attached to it offers delicious set lunches. There is a bus stop 20mm away to get to the train station. Good location too, very close to the main street.

“Gorgeous, would love to come back!”

I checked in late at night, and I was having trouble understanding the instructions. When I messaged the host, they were immediately responsive and helped me gain access despite the late hour. I was tired from a day of heavy travelling, so I really appreciated how helpful they were. I thought the property was absolutely gorgeous and felt so sad to be only staying there one night, I would love to come back to stay longer. There were so many thoughtful little extra touches, such as condiments in the fridge and an electric blanket. I was really comfortable and enjoyed it a lot. I stayed in a few different traditional Japanese houses during my trip and this was by far the nicest. So beautiful and well maintained. I really enjoyed the bathtub, having a soak with the doors open to the courtyard garden was really lovely. The beds were also the most comfortable I had during my trip!

Walking distance to old town

The location is good being just a few minutes walk to the old town as well as having a 7-11 just opposite. The bathroom is clean, large and newly renovated with wood panelling. There is a washer and a dryer!

This is such a great location, 5 minutes walk from the old town and 5 minutes walk from our car rental! We used this as the base to explore Kawagoe, Kawaguchiko and Nikko and loved coming home to the modern bathroom/kitchen and our Western style beds upstairs and the kids loved the Tatami room downstairs.

Everything provided in the unit are very good quality. Kitchen is small but comes with everything you need to make dinner. Like the in-suite washer and dryer.

The place is magic, stylish and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I loved the breakfast of the coffee shop located in the hotel premises.

Wonderful hosts and excellent location to see Kawagoe. The home is set up very nicely with everything you could need in a home stay. The host and all staff in the adjoining business were so lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend this property.

The house is an attraction in itself and has a very different vibe while being super close to the touristic streets

The old building had all the quaint traditional floor, walls, stairs to make it feel truly special... and all the modern amenities (toilet, bath, kitchen, washing machine, dryer) to provide for our every need.

The whole property is just amazing! The decoration has been well designed. Of coz, staff are very very friendly! I was so sorry that I lost track of my time while rambling in the town and didn’t come back on the scheduled check in time. I only got the manager’s email a few hours after. Feel so sorry about it and didn’t get a chance to apologise. The whole experience is so nice which makes me feel so guilty about not coming back on time. Hope I can be welcomed back in my next trip to Kawagoe.
