“Perfect accomodation close to the park”

We had full board accomodation; the meals and the breakfasts were very good. Position close to the Queen Elizabeth NP, perfect for all the activities in the park. The owner and his wife very kind and helpful. Rooms large enough, as well as the bathroom. WiFi in the dining room/reception.

Staff were great, very keen to help in every way. Good location for the park and boat trips. Elephants strolling close by day and night a definite bonus!

Amazing place with great owners. Their main goal is to make you feel at home and they definitely will! Also, you don't need to go to a game drive after a few nights here – there are elephants, buffalos, antelopes, warthogs and sometimes even lions or hyenas coming to the lodge's doorstep. Highly recommended place, I will be so happy to come back! :-)

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The shower worked perfectly. The staff was incredible, really lovely people. The food was great and the location even more. Highly recommended!!

An exceptional place to stay! Staying at Songbird was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The location, just outside Queen Elizabeth National Park, offers an incredible experience with wildlife roaming freely—elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and more. The owners, Hans and Goretti, go above and beyond to make you feel right at home, and their wonderful children, Nicole, Nicholas, and Noelle, add a warm and welcoming touch. The bungalows are charming and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat. The fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere for relaxing evenings, and the restaurant is a true delight, offering exceptional meals that left us feeling completely spoiled (and possibly a few kilos heavier). We wholeheartedly recommend staying at Songbird. For us, it was undoubtedly a standout highlight of our journey.

Great family-run place. Elephants and other animals around the place. Great food, good wifi. Highly recommended!

Hans has created a magical place with lovely houses and apartments. The food which is created by Chef Alex is very tasty, on request vegetarian/vegan possible. Dennis and Gordeta are doing also an amazing job and we can just recommend staying some days here. Animals come very close during the day and night to the lodge.

“gorgeous lodges in a great location”

gorgeous lodges in a great location just outside the entrance to the Queen Elizabeth national park. our arrival party included elephants, kob and waterbuck. lots of animals just casually strolling by as you enjoy a beer or meal in the restaurant. the food was delicious, the staff were really friendly, and all very reasonably priced

“Good place for short stay”

Friendly staff, helped me to go between bungalow and dinner place during the rainy evening. Bungalow was clean. Dinner was included, for breakfast they asked beforehand what to prepare and for which time. Not bad food.

Everything was nice, room was clean. Elephants were walking around the place, food was good.

“Superb Location, Great Hosts & Delicious Food”

Super location on the opposite side of the main road to the majority of the other lodges. Elephants, waterbuck & warthogs passing by your room regularly. Delicious 3 course meals - beautifully presented with a choice main course. Friendly hosts and no pressure to book any activities which made a very pleasant change.

Garotti and Hans are wounderfull hosts. It was home far away from home. During dinner as well as breakfast there was a visite from an elephant on the lodge ground.
