Clean, comfy bed, room had AC and mosquito nets. Great location close to the airport (less than 5 minute taxi). We only stayed here a night but it had everything we needed and was convenient. The hosts are very kind and were up to meet us at 11pm, assisting with tips on onward travel.

The place is historic (150 years old/4th generation home), with a pretty garden and very clean with modern facilities. Though we landed at 1.30 am in the night, the wonderfully hospitable owner was up and awake to receive us. 5 stars just for that.

We appreciated the smooth and warm welcome check in especially when we arrived past midnight. Beautiful and well kept 140 year old residence with beautiful garden. We stayed less than twelve hours but it was a very nice introduction to Sri Lanka.

Owners are a very nice old couple. We ended checking in very late as we couldn't get a transport from the airport but they stayed up for us. Room is slightly old but clean with mosquito netting and sufficient hot water.

“A must if your looking for a place to stay close the the airport.”
Fabulous residence, the garden is a great place to relax and the hosts are most welcoming. Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, bathroom also very good. No.53 is 5 mins drive to the airport and a complimentary taxi service is available. We didn't hear any noise at all, and got a great nights sleep.
