The owner goes beyond everything to help its customers. I came from a 2w trekking and was having one overnight before continuing my travels and as I gave my laundry electricity fell out. They washed by hand to make sure I had proper clothes. They are always there to help. I have stayed here several times and will always come back to this place . Staying here is comfortable and I appreciate the kindness of the host.

As soon as you arrive at this small guesthouse run by a lovely family, you are welcomed by Amir, an exceptional host who is friendly and always ready to help. My stay of four nights (plus a fifth after my trek) was very comfortable, and I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a budget-friendly option with a perfect location for exploring Kathmandu and preparing for a trek (most trekking agencies, as well as gear and clothing shops, are within walking distance). The neighborhood is certainly very noisy and chaotic, but Melo Pomelo is tucked away in a quiet alley with a small inner courtyard that makes you feel like you are no longer in Kathmandu. I also did laundry during my stay, and my clothes were returned very clean and dry in less than 24 hours. I also left a large suitcase while I was on my trek, and Amir kindly agreed to store it until my return. I stayed in a small room with shared bathrooms, and honestly, it felt like staying in a luxury hotel, it was that comfortable, quiet, clean, and welcoming. Thank you, Amir!

“Perfect green oasis in the hot area of Kathmandu”

It really is a green oasis in the middle of a „chaotic“ big city. Once you pass the door, you can‘t hear anything of the madness going on outside :) Once you step out, you‘re right in the place to be when visiting Kathmandu :) Walking distance to Durbar Square or Thamel, about 3-4min. The Host was outstanding! Very nice with some very good recommendations for anything you could ask for :) Thank you, I’ll come back definitely

Melo Pomelo is centrally located. It is set back off the busy roads in a quiet little laneway. The courtyard is super nice with 3 pomelo trees in it. There is a little kitchen you can use that has a fridge and 2 burners so you can make food for yourself if you want to. We did our breakfasts there. Our room was tastefully decorated. The shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. The carpets on the floor were so lovely. Amir and Ragini the young couple who run this place are so lovely and very helpful. They are animal lovers so we liked them instantly.
