I absolutely loved everything. The location is very convenient (close to buses, with lots of cafés and shops around), the room was spacious, there was hot water and Wi-Fi! The staff are very sweet and always try to help. You can also give your clothes for laundry for an additional fee!

Great Experience !

Family Peace House was a great place to stay in Kathmandu. I initially booked for one night but ended up staying a few extra days. It has a perfect location with good Wi-Fi, a reliable hot shower, and a quiet neighborhood. There is also a nice sitting area in the backyard as well as a rooftop space. Bimal, the owner, is very friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

The location is in a quite pedestrian street. There are two open air zones with tables and chairs. Perfect to relax, chat and have tea. The staff is very friendly and can help with many things: flights bus booking, hike guides booking and so on.

receptionist gave us a room we didn’t book from the pictures. toilet horrible, beds blankets dirty. one coockaratch in the bed. The owner only talk to you to try to sell you things. no asking about your comfort or if the room os okay. then staff hanging out smoking weed outside while all their smoke coming from Windows. shit place!

Very peaceful environment just near the crowded thamel. If you want to stay near thamel with reasonable and cheap cost then this place is the best. Stuffs are really really helful specially Bimal dai. He was arranged all most everything. Rooms are very comfy.

Location was perfect for being up early for the tourist bus. Literally a 2min walk. The price was also super cheap. Although the room was small it was all that I needed for a 1 night stay.

Cannot fault anything with this place. Everything was spot on. I am definitely going back again.

“chill but good tamel vibes”

Loved the vibes, out of the hustle and bustle of Tamel. Maybe a little expensive, you could get better quality for the price in Pokhara, but I don’t take this into consideration since Kathmandu is a more costly location. But as foreigns from western places i don’t think we should always be so stingy. Especially if we get a really nice a comfortable toom with clean sheets and hot water shower $8, hard to complain.

The first time we stayed there it was very loud but they took our review as constructive criticism and the second time we stayed there it was much nicer and quiet! The location is great! The owner is really nice and it's easy to reach from the Airport by public transport.
