Excellent location close to Yala National park entrance. Hotel staff helped organise a driver who picked us up from hotel. Beautiful lake on site of hotel perfect for sunset. Limited facilities but hotel staff were very helpful and cooked us meals. Would recommend for 1-2 nights.

Great location in a beautiful remote setting. Nice clean chalet overlooking an amazing lake with an abundance of wildlife - don’t miss the firefly dancing under the stars! Enjoyed the evening stroll with the host on the first night.

“Lovely lodge, beautiful lake, close to the national park!”

- It’s a secluded, quiet lodge, right on a beautiful lake. The views are incredible! We saw so many birds and monkeys from the property grounds. It felt like a beautiful oasis in nature. It is dark after sunset so you need to be accompanied with torchlight any time you go to and from the room for your safety. - The rooms were really nice, quiet, and well furnished. - The staff were friendly and accommodating. We especially loved Anu, who took us on a short walk around the grounds! - Communication before and during the stay was excellent. - The lodge is really close to zone 1 of Yala National Park, which is the main tourist area. Zone 1 is busy with jeeps but apparently has the highest density of wildlife so this is why (we did a half day there which felt like enough). - We also did a full day of safari in zone 5 with a different company arranged by a friend, which we preferred as it was quieter, greener, and more beautiful views. I’m sure the hotel could arrange zone 5 if you ask them. - Don’t do the safari in any zone though with the strong expectation you will see a leopard, as they are very good at hiding! There are also other wildlife like birds, crocodiles, and elephants.

Dont expect any shops or resturants nearby. But that what makes this place so sensational. You will be overwhelmed by the beauty of this place. Arrive at tea time and witness the sunset over the waters. The Setting is Jungle the staff incredible and friendly. If you want to go on safari. Book their Jeep. I didnt and paid double. Rooms are spotless food was excellent and other like minded hotel guests super chatty and friendly. This hotel followed by safari the following day where my best memories of Sri Lanka

Amazing bungalow so close to the national park clean, well equipped and comfy bed. Staff very friendly. Dinner was delicious and safari arranged by them was perfect. If you want Great accommodation away from it all in the park and so close to a quietier gate for safari. Just book!

“Beautiful but safari was disappointing.”

Beautiful location in the forest.

This was our favourite place we stayed in Sri Lanka! The pick up from the temple nearby was seamless and after a short drive we were at the hotel. We checked into our room which was spotless and had great AC and shower. We had a delicious lunch on the pontoon over the lake then spent the afternoon watching all the amazing wildlife that live in the jungle and lake that surrounds the hotel. The full day safari they arranged was great - the guide was excellent at spotting all forms of wildlife and we got to spend a good deal of time watching a leopard that he spotted! The final day we got up early and were taken out kayaking around the lake. This was absolutely beautiful and rounded off an incredible stay.

“A short immersion into the nature & wild side of Sri Lanka”

Amazing location, huge lodge with aircon and fan. Bathroom good with very good shower. Maybe a fridge would been nice. Owners and staff were so obliging and cheerful. They have their own safari jeep and we had a fantastic guide for the day who has a degree in animal science. They also take you for a walk around the lake on the evening you arrive which was a mini safari. Food was very good especially the rice and curry, I had it 2 nights and different vegetables were served. The track to the lodge is not suitable for anything other than a 4 wheel drive. So your driver drops you off and they collect you for a 10 minute bumpy drive to the lodge.

The location was perfect over looking a lake, so much wildlife to see just from the pier. The room was fantastic couldn’t fault the property at all.

Everything was amazing. The room was nice, clean and air conditioned with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The brothers that run the place are great and can’t do more for you. The food was fantastic and they also organised a safari for us which was seamless and successful (saw 4 leopards!)

The service was absolutely excellent from our arrival. They received us with a nice fruit juice and showed us around. They helped us organise our Safari and the dinner was very tasty! We really enjoyed the experience here.

Staff were very friendly and helpful in arranging a great safari for us. Location is very idyllic -- it's right on the lake and very close to Yala National Park.

The calmness of this place was exceptional. Even though you were close to the restaurant hut and other huts, you still felt peacefully secluded. The walk around the lake at sunset was absolutely beautiful. We loved staying here, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was very much enjoyed. The food each evening was delicious and the serenity of the dinner location was amazing. We honestly loved every second of our stay here and would love to go back too. Thank you to all the team for looking after us.

“Excellent stay in the heart of nature”

From the moment I arrived, Dulaj, Chamith and Anu were incredibly hospitable and made me feel very welcome as a solo guest. They arranged a great safari, which was one of the highlights of my trip: well organised, smooth, and truly memorable. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and generous, and the conditions of the lodge are superb: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained.
