This traditional, countryside hotel is in the Öland village of Kastlösa, 200 metres from Stora Alvaret’s limestone plain, a World Heritage site. It provides 2 free outdoor pools and a large garden. Excellent location next to the big Alvar. They had staffing problem so café was closed but staff made sure I got very tasty food anyway.

“An idyllic family hotel in a beautiful countryside milieu”
This hotel is definitely a gem of Öland. Very cosy, spacious and tidy room, great shared space with well-equipped kitchen. The personnel is super friendly. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant with traditional dishes cooked according to the recipe of the owner's family. A cold bottle of prosecco was delicious too. The breakfast was tasty and the restaurant is lovely. Perfect quality for the money.

“Nice hotel room in a family holiday park”
We had a nice hotel room in what seem a family holiday park. The bathroom was nice as well. Everything spotlessly clean. We had a basic breakfast with sorts of bread, meat (cold), cheese, egg (boiled), jams, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, juices, selection of coffee and tea,… In the evening we had diner, both dinners were tasty and not that expensive keeping Swedish pricing in mind. There is a lovely pool.
