It’s super clean and rooms are nice. Beach is a short walk away and food is very good!

This was my second stay at Little's and it was just as good as my first. Everything is perfect here - the food, the rooms, the grounds, the staff, the nearby beach, the tranquillity. I had a cooking lesson from Little herself, we made the best domoda I ate on the whole trip. Guests tend to be really friendly to each other.

Cute clean atmospheric rooms…attention to detail, comfortable mattress and pillows, white cotton sheets…quiet nights….maybe a distant dog or village programme… Hammocks and sun/stargazing beds…short walk to the beach and other paths to explore… Homemade jams and local breads at breakfast….evening meals to order…all delicious… WiFi if you need it… A friendly place to relax..

Our stay at this accommodation was an extremely positive experience. It is a very welcoming place with a family-like atmosphere, which made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. The location is excellent, very close to the beach, allowing easy access to the sea and the surrounding tranquility. The environment is very calm, ideal for those looking to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We would also like to highlight the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, who were always available and attentive, greatly contributing to the overall quality of our experience. The food was another strong point, with great quality and variety. Overall, we believe this accommodation is an excellent choice for anyone wanting to experience The Gambia in a more authentic and peaceful way. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for rest, comfort, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

Location near the beach not far from main road. Hammocks to chill in Breakfast with warm bread Room and bathroom was big. Nice grounds, good wifi

“Lovely Relaxing Week”

Very pleasant and peaceful grounds . Staff all friendly and helpful , especially Doudou .We went there knowing there would be no hot water , but with daytime temperature of 30 , dropping to 18 at night the cold showers were never really cold . The beds were large and comfortable , if you like a firmer mattress . The food was good , and if you want eat somewhere else sometimes , it is a 5 minute walk down to the beach , and the excellent Santosha beach bar . The beach was always deserted , and you could stroll along it past the sand mosque to Gunjur fishing village in about 1.5 hours . We loved our stay !

The arrangement of the huts means it is sociable if you want. The location is wonderful , very near the beach which has a lovely beach bar.

Paradise! Amazing location, beautiful surroundings, super clean, friendly staff and owners, great food, and an amazing new year's eve party laid on for the guests. An incredible beach is a few minute's walk away, with an excellent beach bar. You can hang out with the staff after hours by the fire or whilst they drum. The guests are all friendly to each other, and it makes you friendly too. I'd love to return!

We felt completely comfortable and truly welcome from the very first moment. Little and her partner Matthias run this beautiful retreat with so much love and care, and it shows in every detail. The entire place is incredibly clean and perfectly nestled in nature. The location is ideal – quiet, relaxing, and just a short walk from a lovely beach with a great beach bar. It’s the perfect spot for anyone who values peace, nature and a place to slow down. Little is an outstanding cook. She prepared fresh lobster just for us, and it was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. A real highlight was her homemade hibiscus jam at breakfast – honestly one of the best jams we've ever tasted. It’s a pity she doesn’t sell it as a souvenir. We would love to see her create a “Little’s Little Shop” one day and offer her amazing products to guests. All in all, this retreat is a wonderful getaway run by wonderful people. Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility, nature, and heartfelt hospitality.

What an a fantastic little oasis of happiness in the middle of (what feels like) a Jungle. The lodges are great, the people hosting you are great, and their open air restaurant offers tasty food throughout the day. An almost empty beach is just a few hundred meters away that has it's own bar and restaurant as well.

Accommodation maybe a little sparten for some. The bed a little hard but large room and bathroom. Grounds well laid out and maintained. Host very helpful, also the staff. No pool may put some off but close access to the beach

“Interactiv ( personal and internet) Beach-refugium”

As a single traveler i had always someone to talk to in the beautiful roundhouserestaurant and the internet welan connection was very good there. The food was the best i had tasted in the whole Gambia, each meal freshly prepaired and delisciously tasty. The beach was very comfortably reached within minutes of a lovely stroll and was very romantic and relaxing. The owners put personal care into making me feel welcome and at home. I had a great time, thank you to everyone!

Everything about Little's Nature Retreat was AMAZING! From being immersed in nature and waking up to the beautiful songbird every morning, to being just a few minutes walk to a stunning, secluded beach, we loved every moment of our stay here. Little, Matthias and the wonderful team made us feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed throughout, with freshly cooked meals to order and excellent local knowledge, as well as recommendations for places to visit in The Gambia..🇬🇲☀️😎 Cannot recommend enough.! :)
