It is a unique style of hotel in Turkey, and the style is pulled through the entire hotel. Good bed, sofa and bathroom. Room was comfortable and clean. It is located with a litle path next to the river that leads directly to the tourist center of Kars. Parking is part of the hotel. Taxi to the airport is less than €10.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this accomodation! Clean and cozy rooms, friendly staff, delicious breakfasts. Excellent location calm and quite location. We recommend it!

Beautiful hotel in an old Russian palace. My room at the back was very quiet. The internet is slow (and the roads are very bad) but you cannot blame the hotel for that.

The building was beautiful with flamboyant decor. Slightly quirky which we love! The staff were so helpful and friendly. The location just under the castle was absolutely amazing! Close enough to walk into town. The breakfast was really tasty with an amazing selection - lots of traditional Turkish food to choose from. Toiletries were provided. Such a lovely place to sit outside by the river and have a drink. In the evening there was a brazier and some musicians playing traditional music. Just beautiful!

“Amazing”

Everything. It’s a boutique hotel with great service. We stayed here for 5 nights and the whole staff made the experience amazing and memorable. They have special nights with entertainment which came as a nice suprise. The breakfast consists of the best local specialties. We had amazing talks at the bonfire, they helped us out with reservations, great tips and also warned us about the weather conditions. Very very helpful. Also the hotel is located in an historical building and the decor adds a layer too. A special thanks to Melisa and the hotel cat Niko.

“Interesting oppulent hotel by the river under the castle.”

It was a fantastic experience as much as a hotel. Varied local breakfast, hot wine by the river under the trees. A fabulous oppulent hotel. The kind staff organised a driver to take us to Ani for a fair price.

It is a nice hotel, located in a beautiful historical building. The room was clean, staff attentive. Breakfast was quite pleasant too. The hotel is located in a lovely garden, car parking available nearby. Overall I recommend staying here.

A House with history, situated quietly between River and Castle but within easy walking distance from the City. Very welcoming staff, a highlight of our holiday in Türkiye.

“Very special and beautiful place in Kars”

It was a very special and relaxed stay. I spent 3 nights and I loved the location (near to main sights but secluded by the river); I had great quality of sleep; Breakfast was overall good as well; I liked the garden and the tea / coffee there during the day and the bonfire at night. The staff was wonderful and very caring.

“Modern Fairy Tale!”

It was an accommodation where we experienced Kars province completely. From the moment we entered the hotel, everything was like a fairy tale. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The view was so beautiful that we watched it for hours. Our walk in the historical places around the hotel was very nice. In the evening, you can spend hours by the fire in the gardens by the river. The employees were very helpful and our conversations were very entertaining. I can't find words to say about breakfast, I will miss it so much. Her şey için çok teşekkür ederiz!

“Hotel Katerina embeded in the natural beauty of the area. Friendly and helpful staff.”

Breakfast was very good! The staff were friendly, helpful and always in a good demeanour. Sembra, Akif and Maskat were just 3 of the many staff who made us feel very welcome. The location is gorgeous. We were there in late October and the grounds were covered in red, gold and brown autumn leaves with a creek nearby. We enjoyed this view while sipping tea and keeping warm next to the brassiers burning with wood.
