The staff at the reception welcomed with smiles and a hot tea, which after twenty hours of train is always great. The restaurant wasn't very alive, but all in all it's a good place to stay in Kars before going on to Tbilisi or to visit Ani (the bus going to the ruins is very close to the hotel)

“Excellent hotel in the centre of Kars”
After travelling through the former Ottoman land for five weeks, staying at hotel Grand Ani was our last accommodation in Turkey. We could not have concluded trip through this country better. Very friendly and helpful staff, spacious and clean room and a car park where our motorbikes were safely parked. Both dinner and breakfast were a welcome change from the national dishes like kebab, doner, pita and their many variations. The hotel is in the higher price category, but we found it well worth it.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Upon our arrival, we were immediately offered tea and coffee. They also helped us carry our luggage from the underground garage to our room. The SPA is included in the room price. Breakfast was fine. The hotel is located very close to the main street in town.

“Wonderful choice”
Hotel provides nice rooms with a lot of amenities, kettle and a fridge. There is swimming pool and also SPA upon request. Private underground parking is definitely a plus. Staff is helpful and friendly. Workers at reception speak good english. They even offered us tea and a small pastry during check-in. Position is quiet and good, few steps from the area with shops and restaurants. Real phon in the bathroom is rare to find, but here there is. Breakfast is very good: sweet, salty and exceptional fruits
