A centrally located and family run guest house with kitchen, free washing and lounge room area. Clean, relaxing and safe with genial host. A five minute walk to a large supermarket with a small public onsen across the road for the end of the day.

Awesome place to stay in Karatsu ❤️‍🔥

After two weeks of travelling I enjoyed being in a welcoming, authentic place where I could also use the living room, kitchen and garden. Also great that you can use the washing machine (for free). Owner and her roommate were so nice, helpful, but also just present as humans.

Super cosy vibes we live like the locals

It was a really nice hotel. The owner was very nice and there was no inconvenience. If I have to go back to Karatsu, I think I'd like to stay there again. Anyway, I really recommend this hotel.

“A pleasant change to be staying in a house - reminiscent of a French gite.”

Having inside knowledge from people staying at the hostel of Karatsu, of pottery and local culture was invaluable. At times, we were able to chat freely with the owner and other residents, and at those times we felt part of a group, and learnt so much. We enjoyed the feeling of being within a genuine Japanese home, as opposed to yet another tourist hotel. The beds were comfortable, and outside on the back verandah there were birds for company - much like back home. The property is wonderfully sited for access from the railway station and to Karatsu's big attractions.

Extremely friendly and convivial. The hosts like the guests were the best and gave great advice on what to do or see in the area. Karatsu is so lovely

The owner is really nice and provided lots of useful info about the neighborhood, like the supermarket nearby. Extremely cosy and it was nice to talk to the other guests in the living room. The facilities are simple and clean. Do bring your own amenities.
