“Exceptional”

Our stay at the house in Karakol was truly exceptional, largely thanks to Kirill, the manager. He was incredibly so nice, attentive, and welcoming, making sure every aspect of our visit was tailored to our needs. His recommendations were impeccable, particularly when we inquired about a Dungan cooking class. Kirill went above and beyond by organizing a private class at the house with Railia, who was an absolute delight. Not only was she warm and friendly, but she also guided us through the preparation of some of the most delicious dishes we've ever tasted. I highly recommend requesting her cooking class; it was an unforgettable experience. Throughout our stay, we felt more at home than ever before. The house itself is spotless, comfortable, and ideally located in Karakol. And as a charming touch, Kirill's dog, who was incredibly lovable, made our stay even more enjoyable. We will carry the memories of this wonderful experience with us for a long time.

Great stuff, Ri (who is taking care of the guesthouse) speaks perfect English and was a great help with Tips, getting Taxi etc. I made a mistake with my booking which was changed without problems and very fast Response

“Highly recommended Guesthouse in Karakol”

Very friendly staff, the Manager Ree was extremely welcoming & helpful with lots of useful advice. The rooms are spacious, bright and very clean with private bathroom. Breakfast was also very nice with good quality coffee. We also appreciated the extra touches like access to a shared sitting room & small guest fridge, being able to get laundry done and the bright & sunny garden area.

Totally recommended due to the human factor. The manager , a guy who looks you in the eye when he's talking to you, always helps, offers local recommendations that aren't in the guide and prepares incredible breakfasts [with espresso]. The guesthouse has a large garden and the quality-price room is incredible [bed commfortable and hot shower]

“If you only need a bed than you should be very fine though.”

We liked the room itself and having an own bathroom. The shower was fine with good pressure.

Great helpful and flexible staff. Good location within walking distance to the park, restaurants and city centre. Rooms are well equipped, very clean. Excellent shower.

“It's okay”

Unfortunately our booking was not registered at the property, luckily Sergei found us a room but it was only by luck, it seems the owner is not keeping on top of bookings from abroad. We were only there one night so it's hard to give an accurate impression but I didn't like the vibe there. Sergei is cool, it was something else. The room was good.

“Comfy beds and great staff!”

The food and coffee provided here is great. Te owner of the property is resident in Italy, and therefore, a young man from Voronezh, Russia, looked after me whilst I was staying here, along with another guest. The welcoming and pro-active nature of the staff was very much appreciated. There is also a hotel cat named Milka, a beautiful tortoiseshell, who is always ready to talk with and entertain guests! The bed was super-comfortable, and the shower was of a lovely pressure. The hotel is close to the citty centre, and therefore everything I needed was in reach. Unfortunately, we had an electricity blackout in the neighborhood where the hotel is situated, which diluted the experience somewhat.

“The "other" guesthouse in Karakol”

This guesthouse is managed in an "unconventional" way, but the staff makes all the efforts to help you. Breakfast was good; we enjoyed the "common" kitchen: here you can meet the other guests and we had wonderful conversations. We skipped the "evening-get-together", but we saw the next morning that it had been fun. If you want something else than "just another tourist hotel", Memo's is surely a good choice.

We got a friendly welcome and were shown to our room. They spoke almost no english, but we managed to communicate via google translate. The room was okay, but it seems we got unlucky and got the darkest room in the house. The common areas are nice. The breakfast was good.

“Great guesthouse”

Basic but very clean and comfortable guesthouse. Our bed was quite soft, especially compared to the rest of the country. Breakfast is very good, and was different each day. It's about 15 min walk to downtown, but it's an easy walk and is very safe. It is very quiet. We didn't hear the other guests at all. Air conditioning is not needed, but a fan would be nice.
