“Lovely homely accommodation just outside town”

Homely accommodation away from the hustle. Lovely house and garden setting just outside town. Very quiet and amazing views at breakfast overlooking the hills and nature. Comfy beds with large family room and bathroom. Small plunge pool in courtyard. And the dog!

Loved everything about this very fascinating homestay. Bhathiya & Suzy were so welcoming & interesting to talk to. We enjoyed their company & were very much made to feel at home. The inside pool was wonderful after a busy day. The home is comfortable, clean & conveniently located. The snacks in the evening were delicious & the breakfasts exactly what we needed to start the day. the Highly recommended. Thank you Suzy & Bhathiya.

What a beautiful place! We were wowed when we arrived to the surroundings, furnishings and general feel of the place. We had a lovely breakfast with views that overlooked the jungle. Hands down our favourite stay in Sri Lanka during our time - wish we stayed for longer!

We had beautiful stay in this paradise! Close to the city but settled in nature. Sound of animals during the night and best breakfast view. Its also hard not to mention the owners who are truly heart warming people. You will be in best hands!

Staying at Kandyan manor was an unforgettable experience. A gloriously rambling property of unique gardens and stylishly design rooms and lots of lounge areas . The house had a bohemian and arty atmosphere . We loved our stay . Suzy and Bhathiya are great people .

Wow, Suzy and Bhathiya's home was a mix of elegance, history and culture amongst the beautiful Kandyan trees. I truly felt at home here. I am very glad we saved our best stay for last. I don't even know where to start on the cooking!!! Best food in Sri Lanka. I didn't want to leave the manor to go anywhere. Perfection from start to finish. Very grateful for this experience and I cant wait to come back. Big cuddles to the manor puppies Kelly and Pepper too!

“An outstanding insider view to Srilanka!”

Bhatiya and Suzy are a very warm and welcoming couple and give you an excellent service on board. The manor house is an experience of its own located adjacent to a tropical rainforest. The green in their antique and rustic house along with their loving dogs and the relaxing nature sounds from the mountains and the forest with it's wild life make you feel in a refuge. I have been to many UK manor houses but this one will tell you a story as you walk its rooms, and the hosts represent the wonderful culture of Srilanka themselves with the delicious culinary items prepared by Suzy at request, along with the special New Years dinner served with home made wines. Not to forget a must do is a dip in their courtyard swimming pool which is most refreshing after a hot day! We would have love staying here longer, time permitting as the setting is a complete experience of its own and leaves you feeling loved, welcomed and totally at peace.

The hosts Bhathiya and Suzy were so warm and welcoming. The entire property was very tastefully decorated and was such a charming and cosy place to stay. Prakash was also a very helpful worker. We had some home cooked meals which were curated by Suzy and it was simply sublime. The room we stayed in was so charming and comfortable. There were many spots around the house where you could sit with a nice book and take in The Kandyan and all its beauty. The owner’s dogs, Kelly and Pepper were also so gentle and friendly. This added to the relaxed charm of this beautiful place. We are definitely returning for another stay.

“A beautiful haven amongst a busy city”

This property was unique and like nothing we have seen before. It was a haven amongst a busy city and the photos do not do it justice. The hospitality was second to none, and our hosts were willing to help us out with anything during our stay. We especially enjoyed our dinner at the property which was cooked by the owner. The two beautiful dogs on the property were a welcome surprise who loved lots of pats during our stay. We were very pleased to stay here as a part of our honeymoon. Thank you!

“Comforting, Beautiful and Authentic Manor Experience”

Our favourite thing about this accomodation were the lovely couple who own it. They are so friendly, and interesting to talk to. Staying here felt homey and provides that traveling experience where you can connect with and get to know the hosts. They have built a lovely area in the garden, overlooking a forest to enjoy tastey meals cooked from scratch! Not to mention, Kandy was so much better than we expected. It's really fun to explore the city. We wished we had longer to explore the surrounding mountains.

Beautiful and peaceful, perfect to find rest after visiting the chaotic city center of Kandy. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. We can highly recommend the cooking class for the full experience.

“A walk down memory lane”

It is an old mansion, tastefully renovated. It’s quite big and has various rooms and common areas. It full of history and memorabilia from the owners’ family. Our room was big, the bathroom even bigger. It takes you back in time. It’s on hills within the city but right in the middle of the jungle so quiet and nice. We had dinner and the food was delicious. Breakfast is freshly cooked right in front of guests. The restaurant is on a platform overlooking the jungle
