“Best stay in Kandy”

This has to be one of the best properties I have stayed at. Tucked a little away from the city, location is perfect for someone who wants peace and quiet. The sounds of nature made the stay so peaceful. Room and bathroom was very big and exceptionally well maintained. The staff was so cordial and helpful and made our stay feel so warm and amazing. They truly went above and beyond in making it feel like a home. Also hats off to the chef so preparing amazing Sri Lankan food everyday and delicious breakfast. The sri lanka platter for meals and smoothie bowls for breakfast are a must try. I can't think of a better stay in Kandy than this.

“A haven of peace on the heights of Kandy”

A haven of peace on the heights of Kandy. The staff are very kind and attentive to your well being. Particularly Mr. Sagara who welcome us and did the visit of the site with us and explain everything. The property is amazing, very green with a lot of fruit's tree, a tea field, a very nice swimming pool with a view on the mountains. The rooms are quite big and well equiped. Everything was clean. We felt like in Family. We will come

“An unique stay”

What a pity that we can't give more than 10 points! It's the one of best accommodation we had on our tour in Sri Lanka. It's located in the mountains. You reach Kandy within 15 to 20 minutes. The house has great British colonial background. Louis Mountbatten, Prince Philipp's uncle, resided in the house during World War II. The British certainly knew where the most beautiful places were! The garden is a true paradise. From the infinity pool which is perfectly refreshing you have a stunning view on Kandy. Don't miss the bird watching tour in the early morning. You learn a lot about Sri Lankan nature. From the balcony of the bungalow, you feel like being in a jungle. So many different sounds of birds! We had the unique opportunity to celebrate the Singhalese New Year with the stuff of the hotel. It was great fun to participate at the games. Thank you for the wonderful days we could spend at your extraordinary place!

The Mountbatten Bungalow is a bit of history that has been restored and maintained. The views are sublime, and being in the pool watching the sun go down was a highlight. It felt so relaxing. The gardens are beautiful and well looked after. The breakfast was also very good. The staff were very nice and attentive, particularly one that had worked in Novotel in Dubai.

The staff, views, and food were exceptional. Very calm and peaceful. Sagara and the team made extra effort to make our time special.

the food was very disappointing

The staff were very helpful and our room very comfortable. Meals were good and we enjoyed our bird watching tour provided by the hotel. The gardens were lovely and well kept but sadly too cold for us to use the beautiful pool.

The hotel was just so perfect in every way a hidden gem. The gardens are gorgeous and a pool with a view to die for. The staff were just so friendly and the food was delicious and very nice presentation. We loved our birdwatching tour too.

Very calm place. Though at first I thought it would be too boring there, I quite enjoyed it. The singing birds, the view from the mountains are very relaxing.

We had an amazing experience, everything was perfect. The colonial-style architecture, lush gardens, beautiful pool and peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a private retreat. Staff were warm and attentive, Highly recommended!

“Beautiful haven a perfect distance from Kandy”

We had a wonderful stay at the Mountbatten Bungalow. The location, above the busyness of Kandy, was so peaceful and secluded yet only a 15 minute drive into town. I was concerned that it might have been affected by the cyclone but I’m pleased to say it was in perfect working order. I believe they have a generator too which kicked in a couple of times during power outages. Our two young children loved the grounds and the staff were all incredible. I didn’t take everyone’s name and they all deserve a shoutout but Sagara provided very calm, kind and attentive service. Our kids accidentally knocked over a vase and no issue was made of it. I’d 100% recommend staying here if visiting Kandy. The bungalow suite is also great for a family of 4. Very spacious.

There's a sense of calm that comes over you as soon as you arrive at the Bungalow. There is a really intimate feel about the place with only a handful of rooms. Thulan and the whole team delivered the most exceptional service I've ever experienced. The location is beautiful and the food is excellent. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful location, clean and well equipped chalet. All of the staff were amazing and the chef was exceptionally good

The property was stunning and staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful during our stay. A lot of attention to detail was made which made our stay very relaxing. We felt the service was very personalised. Even the guided tour of the Pekoe Trails was organised by the property and coordinated prior to the stay. Overall we really had a relaxing vacation which was what we were looking forward to.

Gardens and Pool area are heavenly. Very friendly staff and the villas had everything we needed and more. Food was delicious as well.

We loved the chalet style rooms, the amazing pool and delicious food at dinner and breakfast. Staff were also incredibly attentive and helped us book transport to Kandy Train Station for the next part of our trip.
