Fabulous accommodation. Very comfortable, clean and spacious. We particularly loved the balcony. It was a great location too, a nice walking distance from the main city. Jaye was a great host and we would highly recommend.

Great location a short walk from the lake and Temple of the tooth. Very clean rooms with a beautiful view. Beds were large and comfortable. AC and wifi very effective. Showers large and enclosed, with hot water. Great value for money and friendly family running the Homestay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jaye's Homestay. The location was perfect for exploring Kandy. A short walk down the hill bought you out at the lake and all the hustle and bustle of the city. It is also situated high enough up the hill to escape all the noise in the evenings. We had beautiful views from our room and balcony overlooking Kandy and the Buddha on the hill. We enjoyed spending some downtime relaxing watching so many birds and monkeys while nestled amongst beautiful gardens and towering trees. The room was large and clean with the best shower we have had in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was amazing and delicious. There is a choice of traditional Sri Lankan or continental. Both were beautifully prepared and tasty. Jaye was a wonderful host. We really enjoyed conversations and his company at breakfast each morning. He was very helpful in assisting organising tours and transport. I would highly recommend this homestay to anybody looking for somewhere to stay in Kandy.

Our stay at Jaye’s was great, clean room and bathroom, air-conditioned and Mosquito net provided. It’s up the hill from the centre of the city, so quieter and has lovely views, but still only a ten minute walk from the lake and the Temple of the Tooth. The breakfast was very good and Jaye was happy to advise regarding tourist attractions and transport.

Clean and tidy

We had a wonderful and very pleasant stay at Jaye's Homestay. Jaye gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the room, explaining everything. The room is well-maintained and clean, as is the bathroom, where the shower—rare in Sri Lanka—is a spacious, separate cubicle. The view from the balcony is fantastic, offering a beautiful panorama of the city and the Big Buddha. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and plentiful. Jaye was very attentive to our individual requests for the following day. He was always ready to help and fulfilled every wish. The city center is easily reachable on foot, but due to the rather steep incline, we ordered for a tuk-tuk. We had a wonderful time with Jaye, enjoyed our conversations, and received helpful tips and information. Thank you so much for the lovely days and the pleasant stay.

We had a great few days with Jaye. His place is really nice and enough out of town to be peaceful. He couldn't have been more helpful and made out stay a memorable one.

The room is new, very well equipped and tastefully furnished. It was great to have a kettle with tea and coffee. The bathroom was a real joy with a great shower. Very beautiful view through the large bay window, day and night. Jaye is very friendly and he does his best to help if neaded. I really recommend making a stop here.

Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed, pillows and bedding very comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful too. Quiet location just outside of Kandy city centre.
