The view from the balcony was amazing. The room was spacious, the bathroom too. It was pretty steep to get there, but the tuktuk from the city center cost between 300-600 rupees.

Great place to stay. All basics are there and more. Hot water, air conditioning, good mattress, comfortable bed, clean sheets, towels, electric. Nice dining area and terrace to chill and meet people. Staff are helpful and kind.

Lovely greeting with a pot of tea when we arrived, the staff couldn’t have done more. Room was gorgeous with a lovely balcony - a real bargain! Breakfast was nice. It felt very clean and the bed was really comfortable! Some older Tuk tuks might not be able to get you completely up the hill so you need to walk the steep part for 1 minute. The host welcomed me and gave me several tips regarding my visit to the tourist sites. He also directed me to sites that were not on my itinerary. The breakfast was excellent, the staff was wonderful, the bed was comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. Thank you, and I will be back.

“Exceptional stay with warm hospitality!”
I had an amazing stay at Funk Bunks – Mount View Lodge. The location is a bit outside of the city center, but that adds to the charm. It's quiet, scenic, and a perfect escape. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and hot water was available in the showers. The hospitality from the owner and staff was beyond expectations – very friendly and always willing to help. There's also a small on-site restaurant with great food at affordable prices. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy, especially solo travelers. Would definitely return!

“Absolutely Fabulous - Highly recommend!”
Super friendly staff; they very helpful and kind! Several games in the lounge area - it was nice to relax and play while waiting for breakfast or before going to bed. The rooms are great - comfy beds, AC and ceiling fan, very clean and the bathroom was clean. Nothing bad to say about the place - and I’m looking for another one just as good (for such a great price) as I travel Sri Lanka - I’ve yet to find it!
