“not recommend”
I stayed here for two nights, but the experience was very disappointing. The 6:00 PM check-in time is far too late; I was forced to wait on the street for five hours in the rain because there was no one available to store my luggage. The noise levels made it impossible to rest. the first night the resturant is closed and no noise so i went to bed around 10Pm and sleep , Around 11:30 AM, restaurant staff came and begon moving equipment and speaking very loudly, which kept me awake. On the second night, while the restaurant was quiet during business hours, the staff began talking loudly again after closing. Because there is zero sound insulation, the noise traveled directly into my room, and I wasn't able to sleep until after midnight. Being alone and exhausted, this made for a very uncomfortable stay.

Was nice to stay somewhere different than your typical hotel room and to experience a ryokan. Location was great once we oriented ourselves. Easy walk to the castle grounds and the Higashi Gaya district. Only 3 rooms upstairs and once we checked in we didn’t see any staff so we were free to come and go as we pleased. Amenities were clean and sleeping mats very comfortable. Free wifi in the room was helpful. Family Mart for morning coffee only a 10 minute walk away. Air conditioning unit cooled the room down quickly- a necessity as we visited in August and heat was intense!

Quiet. Check in was only allowed at 6:30pm and the place would not allow us to keep our bags before this. If check in at 6:30pm you should be allowed to keep your bags at the property. Staff were still ready for us to check in at 6:30pm

“Beautiful place in a quiet environment”
The place was very nice, with good atmosphere. We liked also the possibility to have dinner there. The dinner was very good, staff was very friendly.
