Bed was comfy and the room smelled really good! I don’t know if it’s the detergent that they use for washing the bed sheets but I was so impressed by that lol

“Fantastic hostel within easy walking distance of tourist attractions”

Fantastic hostel! I stated here for 4 nights. It’s within easy walking distance of the tourist attractions such as the Kenrokuen-en Gardens, the castle and the samurai district. The hostel is very clean and has everything you will need. There’s a full kitchen to cook yourself meals in. There’s a common room with tables for eating at and sofas to relax on. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. If I return to Kanazawa, I would stay here again.

Really wonderful hostel, they give you everything you need, very accommodating. I recommend renting bikes from them, super cheap and an absolutely LIT way to see Kanazawa

“Cute cosy backpackers hotel”

Location wise is great. Close to Kanazawa Castle and Garden. Easy access with a bus from the station. You can drop off your luggage since check in is on the later side 4pm. I booked one of the single rooms and i believe i was upgraded to the double bed room. Which was great. I was on the 2nd floor. Room was spacious. Heating was working great so i was all toasty the entire time. The room even had adjustable lighting. And it was super quiet. Amenitiea were ok. I personally found it strange that the "bathroom" was in the middle of the floor. With 3 cubicles for toilets and 3 for showers and the sinks were kinda like in the hallway. That being said there was not much of foot traffic when i stayed so it did feel private You have to pay for the towel 100yen. You have a fully functional kitchen (which was fairly used from what i could see - meaning sometimes the smell would travel up the stairs. And free tea and some instant coffee. Overall for 1-2 night it's a great option. Can't say for the mixed bunk beds rooms but they also seemed fairly airy.

The facilities were great and dorm room extremely quiet from any external noise. Location quite distant but on main bus loop. The Japanese gals that worked the desk were always friendly as were the fellow guests.
