The host CarMay is very welcoming and nice ! He picked us up and dropped us off to the train station. He took the time to provide many tips for our trip in Kanazawa. The breakfast was well prepared and served at 8.30am. The location is ideal, in a calm district. Bed are comfy and we had everything we needed.

Comfortable rooms, clean, good location, very personable and friendly host, delicious breakfast! On the top of that the host drove us to and from the train station. We will definitely come back.

“Wonderful stay to visit beautiful Kanazawa”

- location is great: 15-20min walk from Kerokuen garden, Kanazawa castle, and train station - room was clean and beds very confortable. - guest house owner was very helpful and friendly. He picked us up at train station, and also to the car rent shop. He provided us lots of tips, advices and stories on kanazawa - breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread! - very good value for money if you are on budget compared to other options in kanazawa especially during golden week - notice: it was not a problem for us but our room had no private bathroom. Some rooms have their own bathrooms though

Kame was a spectacular host in every single way. He was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off to Kanazawa station, book restaurants which only accept only by phone, and share many recommendations for Kanazawa, including the extended opening hours for Kenrokuen Garden during cherry blossom season. Breakfast is awesome and features freshly made bread, an assortment of pastries, other breakfast items including those from his farm. The accommodation was very spacious, cosy, and situated in a quiet neighbourhood, while still being a close walk to many main attractions in Kanazawa. Mornings can start with a quick crossing over Asano River. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we look forward to seeing you again!

This was a guest room accommodation, the host was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The host was particularly good with communication and was happy to pick up/drop off at the train station. Room was clean and fresh, and quite spacious. Shared bathroom with another room. Great location, we could walk to the geisha district.

Everything! Carmay was so friendly and hospitable. We got a free pick up from the station and homemade breakfast every morning. He shared suggestions of things to do in Kanazawa and the whole experience was overall great. There was also access to tasty herbal tea collection. Location is quiet but near interesting spots in town and the room was very clean and cozy.

“Cosy, welcoming - a wonderful home away from home”

Even before we arrived our host made us feel at home. From being picked up at the train station to being packed a takeaway breakfast on our last day we were taken such good care of. The location is excellent. Room was comfortable and spacious. The home made breakfasts (included in the price) were a highlight and a great start to each day.

We had a very nice experience here. The host picked us up from kanazawa station by car and was helpful giving us tourist information about kanazawa. Breakfast was good and abudant.

We had a perfect stay in Kanazawa at the Sunmoon B&B. The breakfast was delicious, freshly made and warm bread straight out of the oven. The host helped us with prebookings, took us with his car from the station and also offered his help whenever we need it. The room was clean and the bathroom and shower quite big and comfortable. Wow this place exceeded all our expectations! It’s a must stay. Yes the futons are Japanese style on the floor but the were so comfortable as were the pillows. The whole place felt very new. It was spotless and the bathrooms really modern. Very quiet. Great location for walking to sites. Fabulous host with a truly delicious breakfast provided. We wanted for nothing!

“Perfect place”

We stayed for two nights at this accommodation. The location is just a stone's throw away from the geisha district, which is a strategic position!!! The structure is very welcoming and provides all the necessary services and comforts... the room is spacious and in traditional Japanese style. However, what we liked the most was the warm welcome and the owner's availability, always ready to help and meet all our needs. Jokingly, we said, 'We didn't find a manager, but a father!"

Mr Cam ray was a delight, his home grown food was delicious, and he drove us to the station out of kindness.

Everything about this stay was perfect from the welcoming host to the delicious breakfast with local and healthy ingredients freshly cooked in the morning, even the bread was handmade by the host wich I think is amazing. The room was better then the pictures and spotless clean. Everything 10 out of 10! I would recommend everyone staying here :)

“Perfect place to stay, definitely coming back!”

Kame-san personally carried me and all the other guests to and from Kanazawa station. He and all of his staff are lovely and very attentive. I enjoyed having chats in Japanese with all of them. Breakfast every day was a real treat, with various produce from Kame-san's farm in Nagoya. The room itself (I had one with an ensuite shower) was impeccably clean, stylish, and comfortable. The B'n'B is located in a charming part of the city, next to a footbridge that takes you straight into a traditional style neighborhood of quiet passages with cafes and restaurants. Everything else Kanazawa had to offer was walkable from there, including the castle and gardens (30m) and the Ninja Temple (60m) which Kame-san will help you book a visit for if you desire. He can also help with many other recommendations in the city. The washing machine is also available on request for a small fee. All of this at the most affordable price I've booked in Japan so far. It's only fair to rate this as exceptional!

What a great experience! It was the best stay we had during our whole trip in Japan (we stayed at like 6 different places). The owner was so lovely! He picked us up in his car at the train station (and dropped us off as well), talked a lot about the city and history, and cooked the best Japanese-style breakfast we had - and he is simply a great guy! The B&B itself is also amazing - it's small (3 or 4 rooms, I think), very cozy, renovated, clean, and the futons were super comfortable. Really, there is nothing I would change in this place! I wish every place were like this! Also, the location is good - you can walk to the historical part of town or take a bus.
