Great place to stay to get away from the busy city stay. The hosts were great and helped us book restaurants and gave suggestions on what to see and do. Loved the bikes to get around too. The rooms were traditionally Japanese. The breakfast was basic, but a perfect start to the day. Nice shared lounge area for guests with games and books.

It is a train ride from the city, but the village of Mikawa was charming and a pleasure to explore.

The area is quiet, easy and free parking, and plenty of izakaya in the area. We went to two, Totto, and I think the other was called Goche - a very good seafood place

Beautiful heritage building (90+ years). Traditional style rooms with very comfortable beds. Close to Mikawa station. We used the bikes provided to us also.

Our second visit here and it was fantastic! Sasa is an excellent host and makes sure guests are looked after. We love the access to a local onsen too. Sasa joined us for dinner at Goten and ordered us a range of dishes to try. An authentic izakaya experience with friendly locals. We had a 2 storey townhouse with pot belly heater, so cozy. You really need a car if you stay here to access Kanazawa for a day trip, or you can take the train, about 1 hour.

Amazing accommodation, very well priced and located close the train station to Kanazawa The free bicycles were a lovely option to have handy. The manager Sasa is top class and provided useful insights and recommendations. The best!!

Our stay at B&B Mikawa was very special. We were able to visit a local onsen via the bikes provided and went to an amazing sushi restaurant on the hosts recommendation. The sushi chef didn't speak English but served up amazing dishes of what he thought we would like and all caught fresh that day. Our hosts came to join for a sake and it all made for a really special stay.

B&b Mikawa was a wonderful choice for us to stay near Kanazawa. It is a few train stations away from the big city and located in a quiet and serene Fisher town. We honestly enjoyed staying in the small and quiet town of Mikawa to relax from all the hustle and bustle of the other rather big cities we visited. The B&B Fish Harbor (one of many locations across town) was located just a short walk from the local train station. The staff was super helpful and helped us reserve seats at local restaurants. Check-in was also super easy. The room was very spacious with some space to actually sit on a sofa and walk around. Also, the kitchen is equipped with hot and cold water dispensers, tea and coffee as well as a few items for complimentary western breakfast in the morning (bread, eggs, jam, butter). Overall, we can only recommend for you to stay here!

“Very pleasant stay”

A bright, spacious, clean home with large rooms that is decorated like a traditional ryokan, but has all modern conveniences. Check-in and check-out were very easy. And although the booking did not include breakfast, breakfast is provided for all guests. There is plenty of parking. Excellent valylue for money.

This was a delightful evening on our journey through Japan. Everything exceeded my expectations! This was also the best bed I have slept in throughout the whole holiday! We look forward to booking a longer stay another time. The staff are also wonderful.

I really loved how friendly the staff was, they were kind enough to shuttle us to our B&B, give us food recommendations as well as sightseeing recommendations, and setup reservations for dinner. The town has a lot of rich history, especially when it comes with fugu (puffer fish), also make sure to check out all the temples and shrines.

Big room for a family like ours with young kids, free bicycle and breakfast. clean, comfortable, quiet location away from the business of Kanazawa, close to the beach, different experience than staying in a city. conveniently located for motorway too when driving + great host!
