Overview
Nakiska Ski Resort is located 1.5 km from this Kananaskis hostel. A shared kitchen and barbecue facilities are provided on site. Free snowshoe rental is offered to all guests. Simply furnished rooms offer wooden décor and natural daylight at HI-Kananaskis Wilderness Hostel. Shared bathroom facilities are provided. Mountain views can be enjoyed. Please bring your own linens. A comfortable guest lounge features a fireplace at Hostel HI-Kananaskis Wilderness. An outdoor seating area includes a fire pit. Ski storage is available on site. Banff is 55 minutes’ drive from this hostel. Access to Highway 1 is 20 minutes’ drive away. .

It is a very nice Hostel. It was clean. I appreciated the welcoming by the staff. They showed me around. I liked the shower area.

Mattresses were not good quality. Thin and loud anytime someone moved. Arrived early but wasn’t allowed to even use the bathroom until 5pm when check in opens.

“Hostelling at its best”
Super cozy hostel, remote location which I personally liked a lot. The living room area was super cozy with the chimney, the kitchen was great for cooking and the showers were very pleasant as well. Will definitely come back!

“A comfortable and affordable stay in relation to other accommodation in the area.”
The hostel is typical. It is clean and there are 3 private rooms in addition to the dorms. The kitchen is large and well stocked. The common sitting area is large with a fire place and comfortable chairs/couches. The location is great. There is an outdoor bonfire area and a bbq.
