Excellent place! The couple is so friendly and helpful. Even though we had a language barrier we were able to communicate well enough. The house, room, and bathroom were really clean and the bed was super comfortable. Also, they make great food. Such a nice experience!

I loved the place and the views, it was very different to any other places we stayed before, magical. The staff were very friendly, smiling, offering free drinks and fruit all the time, The food was delicious, freshly prepared and cooked when ordered. They were very helpful and made sure everyone was comfortable and happy.

I have never been in a place so welcoming in an area that is so busy and pretty noisy. The hosts were so attentive and, although there is virtually no English (only Khmer spoken), it is fascinating how caring they were and able to judge your every need. I was in another home stay in the area and the floor boards there, high above the water below, made me nervous. This house, though, was so sturdily made—incredible, really. At night the noise of motor canoes passing—yes! deafening at times in the daytime—but it was all over and lent to peaceful sleep at night. The owner supplied mosquito netting and rigged up a double bed arrangement for my wife and me. The two showers and loos were kept so clean, despite the tourists not knowing that loo paper thrown down the loo WILL block things up. The owners were so patient cleaning up after tourists on these occasions. Towels and soap provided for the shower and ablutions. The food was outstanding and truly Khmer. The Khmer coffee was the best coffee I had at ANY of the lodgings we stayed at during our month-long trip to Cambodia in February 2026. If you want to experience a river, floating village and rustic rural community this home stay makes it an absolute pleasure and gets you right into the Cambodian river people culture. Super experience. Loved the various hammocks strung up round the property. Take the 16:00 sunset trip by boat out to the Tonle Sap lake to watch the sun go down.

It was such a refreshing experience after Siem Reap. In the middle of a stilted village, with an amazing view and a nice , welcoming family living there. An authentic experience and yet relatively comfortable, very rare nowadays. Totally recommend for the adventurous kind.

This is a exceptional homestay directly at the rivers of Tonlé Sap sea. Even if it is basic it is very clean and comfortable. The people are super friendly. We enjoyed it a lot!

Real immersion into village life. Not for the faint hearted! Great verandah seating area at front and back of house for sitting and watching village and lake life. The bedrooms are curtained off areas with no windows and ours had no light although a fan and mosquito net. Bring head torch! The beds are suspended which might be an issue if you suffer from motion sickness. The food was very good for all meals.

The location is great and the house is very comfortable (especially the shared bathroom). Nice terrace and view.

The staff are very nice and helpful. They helped us a lot also to book the next bus. To get to the village you need to pay 20$ which includes a boat tour. The place is super clean. There are the usual bugs that come with nature and they didn’t let me kill a cockroach but the experience made me more resilient :) As most reviews already suggest the boats are noisy but to be fair I didn’t even notice much.
