Overlooking the River Rhine, this family-run hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Kamp-Bornhofen Train Station, in the UNESCO Middle Rhine Valley. All rooms have either a balcony or a terrace with views of the Rhine. The modern rooms at Hotel Rheinkönig feature stylish décor with a flat-screen satellite TV and a renovated bathroom. A rich buffet breakfast is offered each morning at the hotel, and the restaurant serves traditional Rhineland cuisine using seasonal ingredients. The local open-air pool is just 200 metres away, and the popular Rheinsteig hiking trail can be found 500 metres away. There are many hiking and cycling paths in the surrounding area. The A61 motorway can be reached in 30 minutes.

“Good location but could do with updating”
The room was big but a very unusual layout. The shower and sink in the corner of the room with a shower curtain. Separate toilet (bit of a tight squeeze) The bed was very comfortable, facing the Rhein river, which was lovely. The location was “spot on”.

“Fabulous views Good 🏨”
Booked a cheapo single but upgraded to a big double with a balcony and fabulous Rhine view. How could you not give it a 10? Restaurant excellent. Zander outstanding. Service good. First rate breakfast.

“Ideal overnight stop or centre to visit Rhine area.”
Hotel on edge of Rhine and seems to be designed rather like the cruise boats that pass by regularly, with river views and balconies. Beds arranged to give same view without getting up! Outside beer garden and dining area next to the river. Good beer. Good food from a wide menu. Good place to sit and watch world go by on the river and rail - a lesson in itself for low carbon transport, with each train or barge taking a score of lorries off the roads. Close to a river ferry to Boppard on west bank.

“Fantastic clean and comfortable hotel. Highly recommend!”
Great hotel on the banks of the River Rhine, my room had a balcony over looking the Rhine which was very peaceful watching the boat go past. The room was very clean and very comfortable bed. Hotel staff were fantastic and went over and above their duties. Food at the hotel is also very good and traditional. Plenty of parking outside, in a very nice little village.

“The king indeed”
The location of the hotel is amazing! You can see the river right from your window. The room was quite spacious and had a balcony with chairs and a table to enjoy even more picturesque views. It was really easy to find the hotel. It is located not very far from the train station. The variety of restaurants nearby is also rather good. There's also a drugstore, ATM and 2 supermarkets in the village. Keep it in mind that a lot of places here (if not all of them) prefer cash and the ATM might be broken. Anyways, we were able to pay for our with card. The restaurant at the hotel is also worth mentioning. It's good. The portions are generous. I can't but mention that our room was cleaned every single day of our stay. We really appreciated it.
