Set on 55 acres of countryside surrounded by mountains and the South Thompson River, this Kamloops hotel features mountain bike and hiking trails. What an amazing hidden gem. Such a great old charm to every inch of the property. Takes me back to some family trips I went on when I was younger. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great hideaway.

What a lovely find this was. Visiting from Australia we wanted a quiet place…. And we found it! Peten, a regular dog was just beautiful 🐾, I did want to pack him in my case.

“Hospitality. Nature. Real Canadian.”
Hospitality shines through like none of the other hotels we’ve stayed in. Front desk manager stood and greeted us with a smile, thanked us for choosing to stay here, made check-in easy, and took his time with us. I noticed guests found it easy to strike up conversations at the coffee bar and in the leather arm chairs. Our room was large with comfortable beds, a big TV, sitting area, lots of storage and small touches that we haven’t seen in chain hotels. The heater / AC was quiet and sliding doors open to a wraparound shared deck with a beautiful view. Price very reasonable. We had dinner in the restaurant with riverview. Menu not extensive but offered favourites. Bar manager friendly and knowledgeable and the owner came out to speak with every table. Locals also come in to eat and watch a game. The Inn is not in downtown Kamloops so what is there to do? Well, country life is really quite special and the owner is working hard to show his guests the best it offers. Had coffees on the deck and watched the shadows change on the hill. Birdsong filled the air and we a number of species flocked to the little marsh on the property. Evenings this changes to a chorus of frogs. You can look for turtles here, too. We walked into those hills and had a wonderful adventure. Bighorn sheep and other large animals are in the area, Bald Eagles soar, and spring flowers like the rare Deltoid Balsam Root (bright yellow) dot the slopes. There are 2 park benches on the lower part of the trail and the view from both are super! Ideal for beginning hikers. And stargazing. Wander up the long, sloping driveway past the horses. Great for kids on bikes as there is almost no traffic. Sketch and paint. Gazebo, outdoor patio, riverbank -- relax or run around. Waterbirds, squirrels, trainspotting, golf next door. Shuswap Road is a must-do (easy) drive as it takes you through rural Kamloops and shows you the real Canada that you can't see from the highway. Recommend to friends? YES!!

“Great overnighter”
Great overnight stay from day skiing sun oeaks to head to revelstoke the next morning, perfect stop The room temperature was perfect ( some accommodation rooms too hot) Bath was nice surprise Staff always helpful and friendly.
