The most romantic place in the Kurzeme region. Delicious breakfast with lots of choices, fresh-squeezed orange juice, fruits, and salad. Awesome restaurant. Helpful staff.

The breakfast was exceptional — we had experienced it before, and it was one of the main reasons we decided to return. Excellent location, very quiet surroundings, and friendly, helpful staff. We also loved the “cat in charge,” who added a lot of charm to the stay.

“Hidden gem”

Great location and super friendly staff, food is high quality and looking out across the guardians whilst drinking a bottle of champagne doesn't get much better, we rented the room with sauna and spa bath and it lives up to expectations, breakfast options were limited but alot of it.

Staff was excellent. Very welcoming, helpfull. We had a special chief dinner evening event with 7 meals and live music. It was georgeous. Breakfast absolutely brilliant! And cat Leo!!! The king of this place!😍

We had an amazing lunch on arrival, settled into our room which had a jacuzzi and sauna (good for 2 to 3 people) so really enjoyed using those on such a cold day outside. Even ventured onto the snowy balcony. Breakfast next morning was excellent with a nice latte and fresh juice. Thank you

Our stay at Kalnmuiža was simply wonderful. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed for comfort and a good night’s sleep. Breakfast in the manor’s orangery came with a beautiful Kurzeme view – light, well-balanced, and surprisingly diverse, a true signature of this place. The chef is outstanding. I highly recommend having dinner at the restaurant – it’s a masterpiece of flavors with an excellent champagne selection. The receptionist was extremely kind, attentive to every detail, and made us feel welcome with her warm conversation about plans and life. We also brought our Labradoodle – he loved it as much as we did! A place full of elegance, hospitality, and genuine charm.

The staff were very helpful. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard including the wonderful breakfast. I had a very peaceful stay.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff who are incredibly hospitable. Amazing welcome from Leo, who made extra certain that our room was clean and our bed comfortable. After our stay he even walked us to the car. Unrivalled service and hospitality. Excellent food. Breakfast was incredible. Lovely views. Couldn't be happier with our stay.

“A hidden gem”

This place was an unexpected treasure. I stayed there with my dog. The room was nicely decorated - minimalistic ancient style (ancient furniture, soft colors). It had a bath! Breakfast was a delight! The restaurant is a hidden gem and I am coming back one day to enjoy the atmosphere and food again. That's not simply eating there - that is a taste adventure. Service was exceptional. As I traveled in early spring did not walk too much around but there were plenty of different possibilities in close distance.

Great and quiet location, suitable for both nature lovers as well as those who prefer culture and history. Superior rooms are faced towards an apple tree garden and valley, giving a chance to enjoy wonderful views during the blooming season as well as frosty mornings and sunny evenings. Kind and helpful service. Breakfast buffet apart from the usual options seen at the hotels included a tart, salads, fruits and baked breakfast cake of which most was freshly prepared on-site, even the orange juice. Probably due to busy weekend the breakfast was not anymore served individually (which could be a big bonus for such money paid), but it was still very good and worth to mention.

First of all I would like to thank the personnel for enormous hospitality especially when the things come to dinner and breakfast. Overall, the large room with jacuzzi and sauna that you get with the amazing breakfast included greatly exceeds the price that we have paid for staying. I am pretty sure that owners can charge more for such a service.
