“Everything was absolutely great!”

Many thanks to Yvonne for everything - she is very communicative, kind person. She maked your staying in Greece comfortable. She took care of us - she told us all the information - where to buy, what are the options for trips, helped us to borrow a car, lent us toys for the child.. Unfortunately we were on Rhodos when there was a big fire - but we were in touch with Yvonne, so we did know, how to avaid dangerous places.

The owner's welcome and her availability. She met us at her place with a smile. The property is a huge flat close to the sea with all the facilities a family is looking for.

Yvonne (the owner) has been fantastic - greeting us late on arrival day, helping us with useful info on beaches, places to eat, etc., driving us to an archaeologic site and back from the beach one day, and to the airport when we were leaving. She has also let us stay later on departure day - something you do not see very often. There was homemade wine and olive oil (among other things) for us when we arrived, toys for the children, ... She made ice-cream with our and her children...what more can I say? Yvonne is FANTASTIC! Such a lovely family and an amazing place for a quiet family holiday. Kalavarda is not busy and you have the beaches almost to yourself. A little paradise.

The hosts Yvonne & Stergos are very friendly and helpful and have always tips regarding the best places on the island. We would prefer to book Melina's apartments if we travel again to Rhodes!

“nice quiet place”

The location was superb, very nice and quiet, far away from all the tourist traps with very nice quiet beaches not far away from the apartment (there were never more than 10 people on the beaches). The owner Yvonne is the best host you can ask for always making sure everything was OK, gave us a lot of great tips on what to see, do and eat on the island, she even bring toys to our little girl to play with. We had a splendid 7 days holiday and would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful and quiet vacation away from the chaos in the cities / tourist places. A tip: Rent a car! you will see so much more of the island and find the most unexpected nice places, they drive a bit more aggressively there than in Northern Europe but you will get the hang of it after a day or two. We had a blast and will definitely be back next year at Melinas apartments :-)

Yvonne and his husband were really nice Hosts. They helped us find a Restaurant late at night, Upgrades us in a bigger Appartement for a few nights and even organized a nice bbq dinner for all their guests. The last day we were allowed to wash our kites in the backyard. We stayed in two of their Apartments and both were spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed. They habe two terraces, so it’s always possible to find some nice shade to have a meal and chill outside. The ocean few from the Front terrace is amazing and you can see right on the kite Spot. In Kalavarda it’s nice to have a car to do your Shopping and to explore the Island. For kitesurfing there are a few spots close by- so you can choose whatever fits you best. We had a really nice stay and we can highly recommend to stay in Melina’s Appartements.

“Excellent place to relax, great hosts”

Everything was perfect, apartament is big and clean, all facilities you need, even toys for kids and yoga mat, the area around place is very quiet, great to relax, the view from bedroom is magnificent! Parking available. Great location to visit Rhodos, however you need a car. And the hosts! The all family is great and so lovely! They help us with everything. We are so happy we could meet them.

If you book Melina’s Apartment be prepared to have the nicest holiday ever! The host family is super nice and makes you feel like home immediately. Fresh oranges, eggs from their own chicken and more stuff you get just for them being nice! We had the best BBQ right at the beach and they made us feel like family! The apartment has everything you need for the everyday life and is in walking Distance to the beach. really good restaurant around and even a small bar. if you are looking for peace and quiet you are in the right spot! Not touristic and the pure Greek athmosphere! We will be back for sure! ☺️
