Not recommended at all. The way the host treated us was terrible. We had an issue during our stay, and not only did they make no effort to help us, but they also stopped responding to our messages, even after promising us compensation that never materialized. With so many accommodation options available in Lofoten, I wouldn't even consider this one. They ended up keeping a significant amount of our money for nothing and, as I mentioned, didn't even have the courtesy to reply to us.

Beautiful spot! Perfect base for the Lofoter Aquarium Museum and a great fisherman's cottage. Authentic with new furniture. Here you get the feel of an old fishing or Viking site.

Location was okay, check in was easy, kitchen was well equipped.

Very rude host, lier, and racist. Being told the room wasn’t ready(already passed check-in time), we waited for two hours to check in. The host hung up on me many times. After 2 hours the host came and told me there were no rooms left, and spent another hour placing us to other hotels. The host didn’t apologize at all and was very rude. I called the police while waiting but they told me to contact booking. This is my worst experience in Europe.

We arrived at the house in February, in Kabelvåg, and found that the heating was completely turned off in every room. The house was freezing, spread over two floors, and impossible to heat up in a short time since we arrived in the evening (check-in was only allowed after 5:00 PM). It is unacceptable to hand over accommodation in Norway in the middle of winter without the heating turned on. To make matters worse, the internet was not working either. We later discovered that all the plugs, including those for the heaters and the router, had been disconnected. The router was even hidden above a window, behind a curtain—we found it by chance shortly before leaving. None of this had been communicated to us. We tried several times to contact the owners, both via SMS (as indicated in the instructions posted at the entrance) and through the booking platform, but we never received any response. No assistance, no explanation, no support. The cold made us feel unwell and we were forced to leave earlier than planned, despite having paid for multiple nights, and had to book and pay for another accommodation to avoid worsening the situation. An extremely disappointing experience, with absent management and a complete lack of care for guests. Even now, after two days, no one has responded to us yet. The house was not in good condition: two lights at the first floor were on for no reason, making us think someone might be inside; plastic items and hair ties were left on the floor; there was no shower gel or shampoo; the refrigerator smelled bad; and the stairs leading to two of the bedrooms are extremely dangerous. Absolutely not recommended.

No soundproofing in the walls, we can hear what the people in the neighboring apartment are dreaming. If you need Internet, choose another place to stay. It was stated in our booking that Internet was included, but after 3 reminders, where it was promised that it would be fixed shortly, we gave up! Very old houses, all interior doors are difficult to close. Kitchen looks ok, but lights and the fan did not work. See the response from the landlord on tripadvisor states that the place was enroute for upgrade back in 2023. Now, in 2025, the barhroom has got a facelift, but the rest, no. Bathroom recently renovated and looks fairly nice, but shows signs of haste to rent, with half-finished electrical installation and lack of necessary lighting. When showering make sure that you do not leave anything on the floor as the whole floor is flooded with 2 cm of water. Makes me wonder if educated craftsmen has been used here. If you need hair dryer, bring your own, as it's not provided. Want to enjoy a glass of vine? Then you can share the one vine-glass available. Are we booking here again? Nope!

“One of the best stays in our trip to Norway.”

Excellent location with view of the bay and the town and a hop away from walk to the lighthouse with an even more spectacular view. The apartment was very comfortable and cozy and had an excellent porch from which to look out the wonderful view. Bathroom had heated tiles which was very welcome. The host was very kind and told us a couple of viking stories. He also let us use the site's laundry facilities. Bed was very comfortable and with the same amazing view.

We booked late in the evening (10PM). The SMS with instructions did not arrive, but after calling on the phone number provided in the confirmation, everything was quickly settled and a very pleasant man provided the instructions over the phone.

The view is extraordinary good! Newly renovated. Combines the charme of old fishermen cottage with modern style.

The double room I got was beyond a joke - no room to get round the beds - see photo. It was fine that they didn't clean my room, but they should clean the communal areas. Some days the toilets were in a disgusting state. Worst was the kitchen - the bin with food waste was overflowing and a mouse was trapped in it for two days.

Nice location, spacious rooms. Well equipped kitchen. We saw orcas in the sea from the coast at the cabin :-)

The house is not warm at all at night; it’s no different from sleeping outside. Honestly, sleeping in the car would be better than sleeping here.

Good location/views. Good kitchen. It's a great idea to have a washbasin on the room due to the shared bathrooms.
