This renovated house is a hidden gem & Julian is just the perfect host making our stay with him very special!! & with his culinary skills he made us an amazing gourmet meal. The pool, garden our room & all of the house is a credit to him. Thank you for sharing it with us!! We would come back in a heartbeat. He given gave me a ride on our departure what a lovely touch.

We chose the place mainly for its close proximity to the A5 (1km) and being approximately half way from home and our destination however we were blown away by the beautifully restored country cottage and Julien made us feel so welcome like we were his closest friend

“A fabulous stopover experience”

What began as an overnight stopover on our way to the Cote D'Azur, turned into a wonderful experience. Julien welcomed us on arrival and eagerly showed us our accommodation which was absolutely lovely with a beautiful pool and dining area. After a rest and shower, Julian served us the most amazing 3 course meal of the highest standard and again in the morning a delicious breakfast. There was lots of attention to small details, we could not fault Julien as a host and wished we had booked him for our return journey. Will definitely return but will stay for more than 1 night next time! Merci Julien! 🙏

We had dinner and breakfast in an open sided beautiful barn looking out at the pool and the rose filled, fragrant garden. The food was Five Star Quality and host Julien was happy to discussion his extensive wine list - with half bottles a great idea because we could taste several! The room was very comfortable, the bathroom newly appointed and we parked securely. Best of all we feel we made a friend. Julien adores his David Austin roses so if you take him one he will be delighted. Then you will have a new friend too.

This is a beautiful place. The house and room has been lovingly restored to a fabulous level. You are made to feel at home instantly with a big comfortable bed with lots of little treats in the room like biscuits and chocolate. We had the best nights sleep. The garden and pool are a little haven of tranquility it’s so nice to eat outside overlooking the beautiful garden with gorgeous flowers and pool Julien is a perfect host, nothing is too much trouble and his food is a culinary delight made with love and skill, we were truly spoiled. He has lots of information about local producers and gave us tips about our next leg of our journey round the Champagne region and where to go and buy from he also has a few nice bottles of wine to accompany the food at dinner too. Breakfast was a treat too lots to choose from. You arrive as guests and leave as friends we really enjoyed staying here.

The host / owner was very friendly and service minded; examples: fire place was burning when we arrived, the table was beautifully set and when we left we got a big hug and he gave me a rose ! On top Julien is really a great cook!! He served us a wonderfull 3 course diner. On top, the house interior and the garden were very cosy.

Perfectly located just off the motorway and halfway between Calais and the Alps. A beautifully renovated cottage, with lots of independent space for guests and a very pretty garden with pool and charming outside eating area. A pefectly, relaxing spot. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the evening cooked by our host and accompanied by some very good wine. Julien is a very accomplished chef. After a good night's sleep we had a splendid breakfast, with cheeses, pastries, croissants, jam and eggs served with plentiful coffee and fruit juice. Our host was very attentive and helpful in every way.

The hotel was amazing. Beautifully furnished and sympathetically renovated building with so many different sitting and chilling areas. It was luxurious and very comfortable. A real fire with sofas and great ambience welcomes you. A chill out area with picture window in the enormous bedroom and a bed to dream in. Julian was the absolute perfect host. I arrived late and had to leave at 4am. He got up and made me coffee and baked croissants and saw me out to my car. A real gentleman and went over and beyond to ensure my comfort and safety. I also left my small wallet there and he has been extremely helpful in getting it back to me. I travel extensively and the welcome from Julian and the homely comfort of the hotel was exceptional. I will definitely be staying again.

Julien, a professionally trained Parisien chef ia a kind, thoughtful and attentive host, intent on giving his visitors a special experience .Throughtout our 2 day stay we enjoyed chatting with him, and of course his breakfasts and excellent delicious evening meals. As suggested on one of his signs definitely felt we arrived as stangers and left as friends, sad to leave and hope to revisit in the future. Thank you Julien. The Currently restored part of the house, is beautiful, spacious and attractively furnished set in the small but pretty villeage of Javancourt, surrounded by beautiful countryside and nearby vineyards . Plenty to see during the day, provided one has transport and excellent pool and outside facilities at the property for relaxation.

Bulles & Bubbles is a little serene paradise, tucked away in an idyllic environment. We had the beautiful place and pool to ourselves. Every little detail of Bulles & Bubbles is thoughtful. The host Julien makes you feel at home from the start, with his hospitality and his delicious cooking with produce from his own garden. We hope to come back here in the future!

Wow what a great property , even better than the pictures , wonderfully furnished , private gated parking area . The cooking for dinner and preparation of breakfast was exceptional and as good as a first class restaurant ( the owner is a professional chef ) …. Overall it’s better than many 5 star hotels I’ve stayed at in terms of comfort , luxury and hospitality so I thought the value was fabulous

Our stay here was fabulous. The room was large, spacious and well decorated with a very comfortable bed. The garden and pool area are beautiful. Julien is a superb host. We had dinner which was delicious and of a very high standard. Julien is a very talented chef. It was my birthday and he made the whole experience extra special. Breakfast was also delicious. We stayed here on our return home from a two week trip and it was a holiday highlight. I would definitely stay again. Thank you

“Best Dinner and property we visited during our three weeks travelling through France.”

Situated in a very small authentic village in the middle of Champagne region, Bulles and Bubbles was a perfect location for a relaxing overnight stay on our back home. We had a wonderful stay, which was made all the better by the professionalism, kindness and attention our host Julien provided from the moment we arrived until he waved us off the next morning. We took the option of an evening meal, which was of the highest quality, taste and presentation, and the best meal we had during our three weeks travelling through France. It is pretty obvious Julien is a highly skilled chef Breakfast was also to the highest standards and set us up for the day ahead. Our bedroom was large, fabulously decorated and the bed very confortable. The swimming pool is large and very welcome after a long days driving. We look forward to revisting Julien in the near future and would recommend this property to future visitors

The peace and tranquility. Julien was an exceptional host who catered for all our needs during our stay, nothing was too much of a problem. We had private dining for the 2 nights of our stay and the food was outstanding. The setting in the covered patio overlooking the pool was sensational, so peaceful. We cannot rate this place and Julien highly enough it will be a memory we will never forget. If we could we would rate it 12 out of 10….it was that good.

Very quiet location but only a few hundred metres from the A26 /A5 route south, it was a perfect place to stop for a night as we travelled to Provence. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and lots of space to relax. As others have said, if you can, definitely have an evening meal there as well as breakfast. Julien is a brilliant cook and as friendly a host as you could wish to meet. In 20 years, we haven’t found anywhere better than B&B for a B&B.
