The stay started positively with an early check-in, which was appreciated. However, the overall experience quickly became disappointing due to poor facilities and service standards. The bed was extremely stiff and uncomfortable. Several advertised amenities were either unavailable or not as described. The room was advertised as soundproof, which it was not. A hair dryer was not provided, and the washing machine in the apartment was not functioning. Although it was replaced, the replacement unit was also defective. Housekeeping was offered only on an “on-demand” basis, which is not what one would expect from a hotel apartment of this category, where daily housekeeping should be a standard service. Even when housekeeping was requested, multiple follow-ups were required for a single request to be completed. Additionally, at check-in, staff attempted to retain our passports, which is against the law. When we requested their return, we were asked to provide a deposit instead—this requirement was never disclosed in the booking description and came as an unexpected and unwelcome surprise. Overall, the stay did not meet expectations based on the advertised facilities and services, and significant improvements are needed in both transparency and service delivery.
