Very comfortable stay!! I enjoyed myself so much, faciliaties are clean and cozy, there's welcome snacks and drinks in the evening and drinks at night too. Breakfast and dinner were yummy and the private onsen was great. Staff were very helpful as well and i felt v at ease as a solo traveller. Wished i could stay one more night :)

“Extremely relaxing environment”

I loved everything about the property. The facilities were amazing, the food exceptional and the drinks flowed freely from afternoon until the evening. The public onsens were fantastic, especially the outdoor one in the snow. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and will even organise transport to their other hotel with their private shuttle…great for when you have to take the bus back to the city.

I enjoyed the seerenity and the exceptionally relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. It was easy to walk over tothe main street, even in the heavy snow, but the hotel itself is out of the way of other tourists, especially (sorry, no offence, just a personal preference of minet) the noisier and larger taiwanese and korean crowds. The private onsen was very enjoyable, most of the time I was just by myself or maybe just one or two others. The onsen has a magical at.osphere and I enjoyed the beauty supplies. The lounging areas were very nice and I appretiated the late afternoon snacks and champagne. I found the healthy, but hearty breakfast's concept a refreshing idea. And the shuttle bus to Sapporo was a great bonus.

I really enjoyed the various hot springs within the hotel. The public bath was never busy and I didn't feel like I needed to book a private bath. The food was amazing with free unlimited drinks! I stayed multiple nights and had different foods every night and enjoyed the variety. They also gave a ticket to see the night light show at the local park, which was beautiful and not to be missed! Staff was super attentive and even gave me a new nail clipper when I asked for one.

“Amazing dinner and accommodation”

It’s beautifully decorated inside, the welcoming staff is nice and patient, especially with me that I only know a bit of Japanese. They welcome you with drinks and snacks, then there’s plenty of time to go to the onsen before dinner. Dinner what’s excellent, the best one I had so far. There’s also a lot of amenities, inside the room and on the front door upon request. The room is spacious and the futon beds comfortable. Breakfast was also very good, there are two plates i think and some buffet. I will definitely go back again.

Such special attention from lovely staff. A real treat for me being the only foreigner. I tried all the food. Fantastic!! Easy to book dinner and brekky and private onsens if you just ask staff and keep asking. Amazing property. Felt so rejuvenated and loved every second. Nice walking around local area in the snow abd especially seeing the gorgeous bridge in jozankei. Easy and safe for female on own. Lovely dessert cafe only 5 mins walk away at sister hotel. And another 5 mins walk to little main street shops. Loved it all.

“Relaxing, calming and wonderful”

Beautiful, spacious and relaxing. Great place to stay with mum, sisters and/or girlfriends and have time to relax, wind down and spend quality time with each other. They’ve created spaces to eat and drink as well as places to quietly read. The Onsen is luxurious and calming especially when snow is falling right next to the bath.

Facilities are excellent- includes 2 large lounge areas with availability of snacks & coffee/tea, board games, magazines. There’s also a hot stones & massage room. Food is exquisite in taste & presentation. Staff service is excellent. Room is large & comfortable with beanbags for lounging around. The lobby & lounge are tastefully decorated with art pieces. The ambience is very zen & quiet. Perfect for a retreat. We also get complimentary tickets to the Jozankei Nature Luminarie. Wish we could stay longer.

The beautifully presented meals, the professional and friendly front desk staff, the well-trained service team, and the spa facilities were all excellent. Highly recommended for solo travelers in need of a refreshing getaway.

“Relaxing getaway close to Sapporo.”

The onsen, rooms and common spaces are beautifully designed and decorated. Even after two days, I felt incredibly relaxed. There's a private bath which you can reserve for your group. Each day from 3 - 5 pm, there is free afternoon tea with sparkling wine available. Also, from 9 - 10 pm each day, there are snacks, sweets, tea, coffee and a variety of alcohol available for free in the lounge. Netflix is available. The staff are very accommodating and respectful.

“Great experience to stay in Suichokan”

The room was comfortable and large. The staff explained in detail the facilities of this hotel. Free cakes and snacks available in happy hours. Round-the-clock free drinks were also available in the lobby. I particularly appreciated the delicious dinner and breakfast provided. Very yummy! I arrived at Joshankei at 1230 by the free shuttle bus. We were brought to another hotel [第一寶亭留翠山亭] of the same group to enjoy the free drinks, message chairs, reading room in the lounge area. Our luggage was stored in this hotel until another shuttle van brought us to Suichokan right before 3pm. It was easy and relaxing to spend those 2 hours.

Everything. The staff were incredible. The baths were fantastic, I especially liked the outdoor one. The food was amazing and there were lots of snacks available at set times and teas and coffees available 24/7 on both floors. I also booked a private bath and the hot marble (?) floor 'bed' for no extra cost. Excellent location for getting to the free foot baths/shrines/parks/bridge. When you check in you can choose a small colour canvas to customise your room and you get to pick from four different types of sampoos etc. I find Japan does really cover the small details like these well in hotels, but this place went the extra mile. It is incredible value for money and I recommend half board as well as the meals were delicious. Dining at dinner felt like a special event (in comfy Yukata). The app said communal bathroom, but it means communal shower rooms (in the baths). You get your own fancy Japanese toilet. They also run a free shuttle bus from Sapporo and back. I really liked that it was a females only.. Sorry if there are any spelling errors, I got nail extensions in Tokyo and I'm not used to them yet.

Private spa, hot stone, facial and massage options all available to book day of on their website. Outdoor public spa was amazing too. Man at reception clearly outlined everything in English at check in aw well. Both him and the brochure/website were very easy to understand.

Everything you need is here to relax and unwind for a well deserved break. Very pleasant and helpful staff and delicious food. Have a massage after the onsen and chill to read a book or play some table games. Must reserve dinner and breakfast, it’s worth it! Such a beautiful property for ladies, will surely go back again even if it’s halfway around the world.
