Damask Rose is simply the best! The atmosphere is incredibly calming and peaceful. The owners, Hicham and Ana, are so kind and welcoming, and everyone else - from the Chef to the entire staff - is wonderful. The Chef is really talented and the food was excellent! I strongly recommend staying there because it’s the perfect place to relax while still being very close to Beirut and other touristic attractions such as Jounieh, Jeita Grotto, the Harissa teleferique, Our Lady of Lebanon, Byblos and Batroun. The space, from the living room to the swimming pool area to the courtyard, is beautifully decorated, colorful, joyful and full of character. I would recommend it to everyone🥰 Perfect for families and couples!

The house has a beautiful Mediterranean atmosphere, with sunlight coming through the arches, traditional Lebanese design, airy rooms, and a peaceful ambience that instantly makes you relax. It feels truly authentic, and you can genuinely experience local culture here. The owner was very kind and recommended great local places to visit. People in the area were warm, welcoming, and made me feel at home. I originally booked for two nights and ended up staying for two weeks because I felt so comfortable and connected to the place.

Damask Rose Guest House was truly one of the best places I’ve stayed throughout all my travels. From the moment I arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the staff made me feel right at home. The food prepared by them was absolutely delicious — genuine, homemade, and full of local flavor. The owner and his family were delightful and went above and beyond, offering invaluable local insight into sightseeing and transport logistics. While it might seem a little outside central Beirut on the map, it’s actually much closer than you’d expect — and the peaceful setting is a welcome escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Its location is also ideal for exploring, with easy access to the main highway for share taxis heading north and south to places like Batroun and Byblos. I loved my stay so much that I ended up extending it by two extra nights. I can’t recommend Damask Rose enough — a true hidden gem that feels like home in Lebanon.

It was amazing staying at Damask Rose - it's one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in, and I even ended up extending for one more week. The owners are such great people - kind, hospitable and very knowledgeable about their country, so if you ask them anything, they will surely answer all the questions, and help with organising everything. Also, they provide you with all 3 meals, which are very tasty (and portions are huge, so no option of going around hungry). The whole property is very spacious, has a lot of common areas, so it's easy to find some privacy, or to find a place to hang out with friends (including an outdoor pool!). There was also a very tense situation with other guest, and the owners immediately provided me with help. WiFi was very good! Totally recommend booking!

Although at first it may seem that this guesthouse is a bit far from Beirut, it’s actually an excellent base for exploring central and northern Lebanon, even without a car, as well as the mountainous areas. Lebanon is a small country, so you end up almost in the center of everything. During a week without a car or taxi, I was able to visit many places on day trips from here. The host is very friendly and welcoming, the price-quality ratio is perfect, and the breakfasts are excellent (they even make their own cheese and butter!).

“Perfect little paradise”

The best property in Beirut . Don’t look anywhere else this place is a little paradise. The owners are very friendly and helpful and you have anything you need for short or longer stays including water and a kitchen. The space is large and welcoming. Easy to reach too. The beds are SO comfortable and you have so much privacy in the little capsule. Absolutely recommend

“Home away from home 👌”

This was my second time at Damask Rose and owner Hicham and his Brazilian wife Ana received me yet again as a member of the family. Coming from Syria down to Beyrut it’s like coming to a different world, personally I needed a bit of social life, after a week in,Arabic only, speaking Syria and Damask Rose was great for that !! There is a walk from the hostel to the cave where you can do a tour and another wonderful walk 1 hour down to the coast ( it’s a 5 usd uber to get up again). The hostel itself is in several floors, there is a swimming pool downstairs and many places to chill during the heat of the day. The dorms themself are private, small cabins that you can close ( bring a lock). Many of the employees are Syrians, wonderful people too. It seems tourism is growing these days in Beirut with Hamas disarming and nearby Syria reopening for tourism without the daily fees.

How happy I am that I once found this place, this wonderful, cozy, beautiful house with nice and incredibly friendly hosts😍 This is not my first visit and now I feel truly comfortable in Lebanon, like at home. Hisham and Ana, thank you very much, they will help with car rental, and with planning excursions, and with solving some everyday issues. And the level of comfort in the hotel itself is growing every year👍🏻 the interior is only getting better, the food is only becoming tastier and more varied (chef Ruden is simply magnificent, he cooks both Lebanese and European dishes😍😋)! Everything here, from the parking area to the cute balcony, is imbued with love and peace!♥️

i really liked my stay at Damask rose, the location is awesome , only 1 min away from the main road so you get the quiet vibe plus super easy access to restaurants and markets and all. the property is tastefully furnished and all the staff are friendly, welcoming and lovely people:) oh and love that the dorm bed is separate, not a bunk bed so no shaking and stuff;) i ended up extending my stay and would definitely stay there again

A home away from home. An outstanding location, an outstanding place to stay, and an outstanding team that will go above and beyond to make you feel at home and to help you in whatever way you need. This is my second time staying here and I'm looking forward to staying there again.

Damask Rose is a sightseeing in Lebanon, mainly for its architecture, culture, cuisine, and location. It's surrounded by beautiful mountains, and you can see the stars at night. There is an indoor/outdoor seating area. There is a refreshing pool. Strong wifi connection is available throughout the hotel. You can order a taxi, or within five minutes' walk you can catch a taxi/service and drive ~15 minutes to the nearest bus/van stop, to go around Lebanon. On the same main road (5 minutes walk), you'll find multiple supermarkets with fresh produce, coffee shops, restaurants, fresh bakeries, cell phone stores, and shopping centers. Also, plenty of delivery services are available. Airport pickup/dropoff service is available at the hotel. Laundry service on site for a small fee. The hotel is very clean and well maintained.

“A nice get away”

Staff is very helpful and kind especially Roudy, Photos are the same as the property, though the pool is way better in reality than the photo posted on Booking.com. It is a nice place to spend with family and/or friends, very quite location although not far away from Beirut. We enjoyed it and we definitely are going back soon.
