We stayed last summer and now in the winter. Obviously a completely different experience (temperature & scenery) but likely as special and beautiful.

Location was stunning, Bjorn was helpful and friendly, communication was easy when we were there.

“A truly transformative experience”

Such an insanely cool experience. Imagine a frozen over river that you get to on a skidoo. The river is unbelievably beautiful, super quiet. And you’re staying in this really cosy glass hut completely shielded from the elements but right in the middle of nature. To be honest, it’s less about the hut and more about everything around it. The best part is Björn with his insane amount on knowledge, his extreme punctuality, his kindness, his magical ability to make the impossible possible. He looked after us in a way that you really don’t expect but learn to really appreciate.

Absolutely everything. The hut on the frozen lake was incredible. We had northern lights all three nights. The owner, Björn, was incredible and made us feel welcome and comfortable and we learnt a lot from him.

We were here in December, very pretty and unique experience! The owner is very helpful and friendly. He took care of out pick up and drp.

“A Magical Arctic Experience – 10/10!”

Staying at Peace and Quiet Hotel in Jokkmokk was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was flawlessly arranged, making it one of the most unique and magical stays I’ve ever had. The igloo was beautifully maintained and located right on a frozen lake, offering breathtaking views of the pristine Arctic winter landscape. Reaching it by snowmobile added an extra sense of adventure, making the experience even more special. The hotel's pre-arrival communication was excellent, ensuring a seamless stay, and the pick-up and drop-off transfers were smooth and punctual. The ice dining experience was phenomenal, with incredible food served in a setting that felt straight out of a winter fairy tale. One of the absolute highlights was the exhilarating cryotherapy experience, which was both refreshing and thrilling. A truly memorable part of the trip was the reindeer and Sami cultural experience organized by Bjorn at the homestead of Ana, where I got to learn about indigenous traditions in the most authentic way. Bjorn was an outstanding host—warm, knowledgeable, and attentive—ensuring every detail was perfect. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime Arctic adventure, this is the place to be!

“Amazing spot to witness the northern lights... but with a big BUT”

These rooms are really little self-contained huts that float on the frozen river. The location is awesome, with the best possible views of the northern lights. However, there is one very important thing that is not clear form the property's description: there is no possibility to wash oneself except for a small tap that spurts water in the kitchen's sink. Water is of course cold, as it is pumped directly from the river below. So no shower, no running (warm) water. This would have been a game changer had we known in advance, especially if you're staying more than one night. Putting this relevant detail aside, both the host as the staff are extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are pricey but good, and the activities offered are really nice albeit the organisation seems a bit improvised. The cryotherapy (fancy name for ice bath and sauna in/on the river) is stunning, and the snowmobile excursion was a thing to remember!

An idyllic stay with a superb host in Björn. The pods are secluded and peaceful out on the lake. Very warm and comfortable. Björn organised some great activities for us including breakfast one morning and a couple of the dinners, although the facilities in the pod certainly lend themselves well to making some simple meals. The views through the pod were so special - such a unique stay!

The wiew, the calm!

We stayed at the floating glass room end of August and besides the tranquillity we enjoyed also the northern lights. The breakfast was dilicious. Björn and his daughters were perfect hosts.

“Bittersweet experience”

The whole experience, the closeness to nature, the walks through the forest with berries everywhere. Spending two nights in the floating cabin was a fantastic experience.
