I liked the large bath with separate tub and shower. The overall room accomadations were comfortable and very clean. I liked that you had a large TV selection of channels to watch.

We stayed in one of the king rooms. It had a comfy bed, the sheets were good quality and each of us had a soft and firm pillow option. The bathroom was roomy. We loved the restaurant/Wellington's) we had an excellent dinner and breakfast. Just a note the sides are definitely sharable! We wish our stay was longer - this was a beautiful hotel and an extremely good value.

Excellent location and Welington's Restaurant presented great food, atmosphere and service. Room was spacious and comfortable. This is my 3rd stay in the last year and I'll be back!

A nice, iconic hotel. This was not our first stay there. Very disappointed in Kayak.com and Booking.com though (also the staff of Carnegie Hotel for not offering to do anything to help make up for the issues, even if it wasn’t their own fault). The issues: I used Kayak.com and Booking.com to book the room, but upon check-in was charged $30+ more than the booking price. When I asked the staff about this, it was explained to me that the 7% city tax had been excluded from the booking, and that the hotel also charges a $20 “incidentals” fee, just in case their guests want to charge/purchase any incidental items (neither of these charges were shown at the time of the booking, so the hotel manager claimed that it was Booking.com issue). Supposedly, the incidentals fee isn’t charged unless you charge something to the room or whatever. Affordability of the extra $30 isn’t an issue with us, but could be for someone on a tighter budget, still thought it just rubs me wrong! I always like to know all costs upfront. Also, the description of the room during booking said “mountain views”, but all we could see was a parking garage. The noise level was a bit higher than our last stay too. We were woken a couple of times during the night by the sound of a train horn. Neighboring guests were quite noisy as well. Overall, not a great experience on our 25th anniversary stay.
