“Clean, comfortable, home-stay vibes”
The room offered a pleasing mix of light wood panelling and green checked blankets, so had a log cabin in the forest feel, with the convenience of being near Joetsu's main road. The room was quiet and comfortable. Approx 5min drive to restaurants.

“Great place to stop over while travelling.”
This was a great place to try out staying in a traditional Japanese room with tatami mats and futons. The host was so lovely and was very easy to converse with in English. He explained everything very well and taught us how to set up our futons. Everything was lovely and clean and the whole place had a lovely traditional feel. We weren't exactly sure when we would arrive because we were travelling by car and sightseeing on our way there but it is important to let the host know roughly when you will arrive because he isn't always on site. The place is on a busy road so there is a bit of traffic noise but this didn't really affect our sleep.

Super renovated old Japanese house. Great design. Very comfortable and clean. Corridors were cold but that wasn't a problem. Room was very warm.

“Lovely hotel”
Lovely hotel in Joetsu. The hotel has a restaurant/cafe/bar on site which has very nice food. The host was very friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. The hotel was also very clean, including all the communal areas. There's also free parking out the front. I would happily stay here again.
