“Excellent stay in Joal”
Great little spot located on the water, about a 10-15 minute walk from the island and literally right next to the southern garage. The food they serve is reasonably priced and absolutely fantastic. Mamadou was kind, welcoming and super helpful, and the rest of the staff were incredible too.

“Great location, great views!”
Great location, amazing view of the river. Really peaceful. Nice balcony with a seating area near the room. The owner Mamadou was friendly and helpful. Food was good. Easy to get to Fadiouth island and to the sacred Baobab. Recommended!

“B&B in Joal-Fadiouth”
Some of the staff are great, especially the owner Mamadou. Views across the water, lots of birdlife. Close to Fadiouth to visit the island of shells. Great room, really big. Lovely outlook from first floor terrace.

The auberge is cute and quiet and sits immediately at the coast of the lagoons and the mangroves. Stunning location. The breakfast is simple and good. You can also have dinner there right on the river bank. Our highlight of the stay was the exceptionally friendly and forthcoming staff. If you're looking for a great calm weekend escape, search no longer.

“A relaxing couple of days in a tranquil location with exceptional service”
A beautiful, tranquil location overlooking the mangroves at one end of Joal (closest to Fadiouth island). Run by Mamadou, who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful during our stay. Breakfast was lovely and we also enjoyed a lovely dinner and a boat ride through the bird sanctuary/mangroves organised by Mamadou for us.

Mamadou, the host, is very helpful and kind; we didn't have enough money so he came with us to M'bour to help us finding a bank. The place is simple but clean and in a good position to go to the Fadiouth village. Very reccommanded!

“Great hotel, great restaurant, great location”
I had a fantastic experience at Auberge Coeur which was a perfect base to explore Joal Fadiouth and nearby areas such as Djiffer. My room was large and impeccably clean. It overlooked the lagoon and meals were served on the terrasse outside my room. The meals were wonderfull!! I had dinner there both nights, I requested Senegalese style and everything was freshly prepared and delicious. The owner is very attentive and very helpful. He provided excellent directions and suggestions and also arranged taxis for a very good price. I highly recommend Auberge Coeur and the whole fascinating area of Joal Fadiouth!

Clean room with mosquito net and fan. Nice balcony with a view of the Lagune. Nice place to eat and drink close to the water. Super helpful staff. Thank you for everything!!!

“Good location, very good conditions for the price, staff very helpful and professional.”
Right next to one of the gare in Joal-Fadiouth (which is always a plus if you're backpacking around). The walk to the island of Fadiouth is 10 to 15 minutes, during the day felt safe. Good view (ask if the rooms facing the water are available), good food also available, breakfast not included but good price-quality. Mosquito nets in the bed. If the water pressure is low just go talk to the owner, pump might need to be turned on. Props to the staff, very Teranga.

“Perfect stay!”
We really had a great time in Auberge Ocean. We arrived really late at night but Mamadu was super nice with us and welcomed us in an incredible way. We rest sooooo good and we decided staying for one more night! We enjoyed having a good breakfast with the views to the water. Mamadu was really helpful and he helped us every time we needed it.
