Great location in a lively neighbourhood with a lovely atmosphere. Super clean and attention to detail is really good. The staff are friendly and non intrusive and have a wealth of knowledge. Super vibes and the room was spotless and comfortable. WiFi is strong. Close to restaurants and juice places and historical places. Would visit again and highly recommend, long or short stays.

The hostel is at a great location, easy to reach everything even by walking and ut offers everything you need. Great plus point for the water refill! Not seen that anywhere else. But the best thing is the owner Tony (and if course Sophie): he is so kind and helpful. Thank you for all your recommendations; tour and food wiss. You made my stay in Jaffna unforgettable. I had such a great stay at Tony's Garden House. I stayed there for 3 nights. It was perfect for me. Quick and easy to the centre. Lots of cafes/restaurants in walking distance. Great value, approx £10 a night for private room with private, A/C & fan. But he has many other cheaper opinions. Tony was a really relaxed and helpful guy, always smiling and welcoming. Definitely check his place out if you're staying in Jaffna. It's a really nice place!

Tony’s place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, decorated in a simple Sri Lankan style whilst also feeling very much like home. We loved it! We enjoyed sitting on the shared balcony watching the street and park scenes and chatting with others. Good location for getting around and Tony is very helpful with great local knowledge.

Tony was really helpful and welcoming with information about travel to other interesting sights. He arranged a sightseeing tour for me and another guest to share. Sophie the dog is a an added attraction, so nice to see a well loved and cared for animal.

Tony is a fantastic host. Quiet and approachable and can help you with everything you need to know. Great breakfasts. Mosquito nets, clean rooms, lots of airy common space, use of kitchen. Easy access to the centre of Jaffna and all sites. Excellent place to stay. Beautiful dog to cuddle too.

Tony is a wonderful host, breakfast was good and the vibe of the place is very relaxed, I enjoyed my couple of days there and the recommendations he gave.

The place is great located in the city, in walking distance to the main sights. But what made my stay unforgettable is the host Tiny and the feel-good manager Sophie 🐶 Tony had a lot of good recommendations and was caring and helpful with planning some trips. Thank you so much! 🙏🏼

We had a fantastic stay. Tony is so friendly, flexible and ready to help. He helped us sort a really great and good value tour the next day and was surprised helpful with helping us with buses. The room was as described and comfy. Its a nice place to hang out with a nice balcony. Good location as well. The breakfast is nice. Would 100% recommend staying here

“I felt looked after.”

Although Tony's has basic facilities, it is managed and functions very well. The second story terrace looks over a park. I liked being able to watch bats and birds. Options for breakfast are great and at an honest price. There is good quality information available. The location is great for the gardens but also eating near by. It's a short tuktuk ride to town, bus station or rail station. Tony also provides a cheap safe plastic drinking water solution.

Tony is a wonderful host and he was especially kind when the cyclone arrived and we could not travel. We could stay longer than expected and he helped us adapt to the situation. He built the place in such a communal and nice way that I felt sad to leave. Thank you Tony!

Loved my stay at Tony's. Not a hostel but definitely has a homely chill hostel vibe. Tony is really friendly and helpful and makes you feel very welcome. The place is spacious and has good common areas to socialise in. It was great having a private room for the same price as a dorm bed and it was nice and clean. Also breakfast is cheap, local, and delicious.
