It is hard to describe the experience as it is just not a regular stay at the hotel, but felt like visiting a family and leaving all the happy smiling souls back home. The hospitality and the sincere effort to make sure the slightest thing is taken care of is commendable. The front desk team with a big broad smile and how effortlessly the team (Dilakshi, Vithusha & Princey) were able to quickly plan even if it is a last minute request on cabs and checking if my stay is comfortable etc, the gardeners warmth smile while passing by, the F&B team - Oh my god! They prepared Jaffna crab curry along with a meal spread which is out of the world. The whole experience of dining and customizing to your taste and spice, carefully curating and recommending what to eat is phenomenal. Kudos to the entire crew of Thinnai. You made the whole experience very special and lasting. It is not the place, but the people who always make the place and experience special and it is true in my case. Yazhpanam and the Thinnai experience is going to be my top favourite and will be your spokesperson for all who want to savor this place. THANK YOU for hosting me and making my stay special. Great friendly staff who provided a warm welcome, and exceptional service, and would go the extra mile to help. The catering and authentic Tamil cuisine and service at the restaurant were excellent. Thinnai provides a taste of the warm friendly hospitality and tasty healthy cuisine of the Tamil people on the northeast of Sri Lanka.

Pleasant and helpful staffs and the place is good for relaxing. Closer to the town centre and attractions. They celebrate special events & the guests are invited. Travel desk and gym are available. Restaurant serves variety of tasty meals to include international and local dishes. Variety of accommodation options available with varying degree of comfort.

Thinnai is a very nice and relaxing hotel in Jaffna, not quite in the center but close enough to reach every sight in a short time. The staff was very kind and friendly.

Staff were very friendly and courteous. Service was excellent. They even make a special meal for us for lunch which was not on the menu. Loved the service and staff attitude. Always friendly and ready to help.

The staff, the service especially at the bar and the restaurant and the pool. The reception hall is magnificent.

Well designed property. Modern with Sri Lankan character. Spacious bedroom and sitting room. Good range of restaurant food for evening meals also and wide range of breakfast options.

Near the airport, comfy for a 1 night stay

Stayed two nights and loved everything about the Thinnai - from the time of our check in to the time we left. Lovely reception staff and a very articulate and well informed security staff member. Rooms were large and clean, pool was well maintained and everyone we met greeted us with a natural smile and were welcoming. The food…..don’t get me started. Excellent all around and value for money. The crab dish was the star attraction of our dining experience - a little expensive perhaps but worth every dollar in the end. Go for it. You won’t regret it. And the very kind GM Mr Roshan (I believe) who was always present with a gentle smile and provided a calm and informative discourse on life in the Northern part of Lanka and the rest of the country. We shall return of course and Thinnai will be our No 1 choice.
