Really kind people. They give us dinner despite it was late (around 9 pm). Fresh fruit for breakfast. Really clean and good presented. There’s also air conditioning

A perfect retreat nearby to the airport. We only stayed for our last night but the villa was super clean, spacious and had excellent facilities. Padmi was a fantastic host, greeting us with a nice cold fresh juice and ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. She also booked us a reliable taxi for the following morning to get us to the airport. The gentleman caretaker who looks after the property was also present and he was very attentive. We opted to not have breakfast as we were leaving early for the airport but despite this the caretaker brought us fresh coffee early just before we left. Overall we had a lovely restful night prior to the journey home

“Post / Pre Airport Oasis”

The warmest of Sri Lankan welcomes to this beautifully appointed villa in peaceful surroundings, just a short drive from Colombo Airport. The hosts are very friendly and responsive, messaging in advance, to make everything seamless for our arrival (which was late in the evening). When we asked if there was a supermarket open nearby, the hosts even found a place and delivered our shopping! Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were well air-conditioned, with comfy beds, a fridge, tea and coffee facilities and all amenities. A delicious breakfast was served at the villa with plenty of variety. Highly recommended!

So beautifully decorated, calm and peaceful. The facilities were great and the bed was super comfortable. Nice and close to the airport so great for before or after travels. The lady running it is so kind and helpful too.

Our stay at the Summer House was short but truly memorable! After a delayed flight, we didn’t arrive until 2 am, yet the housekeeper was there to warmly welcome us and show us to our rooms. Despite his limited English, his kindness and dedication shone through, making us feel at home right away. The rooms were spotless, tidy, and comfortable—everything you’d want after a long journey. The real standout, though, was breakfast. At the time, we didn’t fully appreciate just how extraordinary the coconut sambal was, as it was our first day in Sri Lanka. However, after two weeks of trying sambals across the country, we now realise this was the best of them all! The flavours were perfectly balanced, and the aromatic curries were exceptional—a clear testament to the owner’s skills as a chef. The staff and owners were incredibly accommodating, and their attention to detail elevated our experience. The koi pond in the garden was a lovely touch, and feeding the koi added a moment of peaceful delight to our morning. It’s a pity we could only stay for one night, but it was the perfect start to our Sri Lankan adventure. We highly recommend the Summer House for its warmth, impeccable food, and tranquil atmosphere. Five stars, without hesitation!

“Incredible luxury, comfort and service at this hidden gem”

The owner of this property is incredible. She has tried to think of every little detail that a traveller may need and make them as comfortable as possible. While it may not be an idyllic location for the majority of your stay in Sri Lanka it is perfect for arrival or departure if you just want to relax before / after your journey. Maybe it would also be suitable for those spending more time in Columbo as it is only about 45 minutes from the city centre. The host has a caretaker who is amazing. He keeps the property in perfect condition. He also escorted us to the shared pool within the gated community and most surprisingly, after ordering food to be delivered, he set the table and actually plated up everything and served us in 5* standards. Once we were finished he cleared away the table so silently we didn’t even know he had been. 100% you must try to stay here when near Columbo.

Lovely villa and amazing hosts! Perfect place to begin our Sri Lankan holiday! The villa had everything we needed for a one-night stay after a long flight. The Sri Lankan breakfast was wonderful. We liked the neighborhood's cleanliness and tranquilly as well as how close it was to the airport. Padmi is a knowledgeable and friendly host and it was a pleasure speaking with her.

I am very impressed by the hospitality and sincerity of the owners! They helped us in everything and even extended our stay until departure for free. The location is good - close to the airport, in a closed private area under security. There is a shared pool. Delicious breakfast from the hosts. The premises are clean and well-kept. I definitely recommend Padmi’s villa!

“Perfect Stay – Highly Recommended for Travelers!”

I had a fantastic stay at the Summer house close to Colombo airport. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend staying here after a long flight or before heading back home. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was a real pleasure to meet the owner and her father-in-law, who both took time to personally say hello. Saying hi to her adorable dog next door made my day extra special! I will definitely return when I’m back in Sri Lanka!

“A perfect place to start or end your holiday !”

What a perfect end to our holiday. Padmi was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to ensure our last night in Sri Lanka was incredibly special, so many thoughtful details. The house is a calm, quiet space in a private complex close to the airport. There’s a small supermarket around the corner and a communal pool close by which looks charming (sadly didn’t have time to swim but nice to know it’s available). Communication was excellent and Padmi helped with airport transfers and local food recommendations. We had such an enjoyable stay and is a great place to recharge before or after a long flight ! We highly recommend and would stay again.

We loved our stay at this cozy place It was near to the airport and the beach and all the facilities like restaurants, supermarket,pharmacy etc We would definitely recommend this property We had loads of requests since we were traveling with a 2 year old and a 6 year old.. “Exceptional Private Villa”

I made the best choice in booking Summerhouse for a weekend stay with my wife and 5 month old son! The couple, villa owners, are very nice, friendly, pleasant, and were extremely accommodating, especially to make our stay more comfortable with the little one. It’s so close to Colombo, and really is a place to get away from city living. The villa was oozing with charm… it was clean and well equipped with everything to make a very private, comfortable and enjoyable stay. And since it’s located within a larger housing scheme, we also able to use the pool and clubhouse as well, which was quite neat and also safe. Overall we loved our weekend at Summerhouse! Would definitely recommend it to friends and family! ☺️
