We loved it here!! After a day trekking we arrive here and we enjoyed the terrace! Breakfast and dinner were the best we had during our holidays. Shower and room are comfortable! We would definitely recommend!

The location is inaccesible by car without a 4x4, we were not warned about this. The host tried to charge us 700 MAD for transport. We ended up staying somewhere else despite not receiving a refund.

“Fantastic location within nature”
Fantastic location, very much off the beaten track, in the midst of nature and local agriculture. Expect peace & quietness, great views, and very friendly staff.

“A welcoming and comfortable place to stay in a fantastic location”
The location is fantastic and views wonderful. The welcome was great and we had tea and cake on the terrace. The evening meal with other guests was also very good, together with the breakfast the following morning.

“Stunning location ideal for hiking”
We actually stayed at Gite Affaska which suited us fine and Ibrahim organised this. At Afaska Gite the location is superb, the hostess Saida was great, very kind spoke good French English and the food was exceptionally good

What I expected. An authentic auberge in the Rif mountains near Chefchaouen. Good food. Very friendly host. Not for the one who looks for a 5 star hotel. A basic auberge. I will come back!

“Great stay”
Lovely stay in a really incredible place. The family give you a peak into Moroccan life and they are very respectful of having fun, providing all the info and bits you need, enough space for yourself and your thoughts. Really amazing food cooked for you and walks very nice. Even hot water right up in the mountains

“The perfect retreat in beautiful seclusion”
Amazing location, Amazing views, amazing staff. I wanted a real getaway and Gite de Montagne Azilane was perfect. From the cosy and clean rooms to the friendly and very hospitable staff. Chef Ayoub cooked a beautiful breakfast and a vast delicious dinner. Brahim was a gentlemen and really made the effort to make me feel at home....ill definitely be coming back. Highly recommend. Thanks guys

Our stay at Gîte de Montagne Azilane was unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. Ibrahim, the owner, is incredibly kind and attentive—he truly makes you feel at home and ensures everything is perfect. The food was exceptional. Thanks to Ayoub, the talented chef, every meal was delicious, generous, and full of local flavour. The portions are big, and every dish feels homemade with love. A special mention to Mohamed, who seems to do everything—from keeping the place spotless to guiding us on beautiful walks around the area. His energy and friendliness add so much to the experience. The view is absolutely spectacular, with the mountains surrounding you in peaceful silence. It’s the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. We left feeling like we were part of a family. If you’re looking for authenticity, warmth, and breathtaking scenery, Gîte de Montagne Azilane is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Everthing, we hiked from chefchaouen to azilane and we were friendly welcomed with cold water, tea and cakes. Also in the evening the dinner was amazing and a lot of food, same for the breakfast. The rooftop is very nice to chill after the hike

It is a unique place. Atmospheric and pleasant. The owners are very friendly and helpful. At every step the guests were satisfied. Helpful and nice neighbors, to whom we accidentally ate dinner 😉 The hotel may not have 5 stars, but the place and views reward the stay.

An unforgettable stay in the mountains, Ayoub was an amazing host with an infectious laugh and smile. It felt like you were staying with family. Food was also great and plentiful.
