“Basic and very relaxing.”

Hisham and his family are wonderful hosts. I enjoyed their food – they were so kind to prepare a lunchbox for my safari trip – and I slept very well in the calm room, which was basic but very clean. Hisham's sister does amazing pottery – she learnt the craft straight from Evelyn Porret. I warmly recommend this accommodation.

“Ideal place to make a break, between southern and northern Egypt”

The Khazfista guesthouse is truly the ideal place for a real break to taste the sweetness of the Al Fayoum oasis, between the crowded archaeological sites of southern and northern Egypt. It is a small family guesthouse where the passing guest quickly feels integrated into the family. The manager Hisham is incredibly available to take care of his residents. He was able to organize the Giza-Fayoum route for us, as well as a magnificent excursion into the desert, and all this at unrivaled prices. Without any hesitation, I recommend that you make this detour through Tunis and Khazfista during your stay in Egypt, it is a truly magical place!

“Lovely stay at Khazfista”

Khazfista is run by lovely people who are always ready to help (e.g. arranging transport to different sites). Communicating with Hisham in English was very easy. His family was also very patient and encouraging when I practised my basic Egyptian Arabic with them. Waking up to a delicious breakfast with garden views (and the company of a friendly cat) was always something to look forward to. Khazfista is very nicely located. It is very quiet, but still in a central location in Tunis Village.

“Quiet place, small scale, and very friendly family!”

I really liked this quiet, simple but comfortable and very friendly place. It's very small scale, only 3 rooms. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated, and have their own bathroom. At the front there are benches where you can have (an excellent!) breakfast. I especially liked the calm atmosphere, the big courtyard where the very friendly owner is working a bit in the garden. The hospitality of the whole family was heartwarming. I will certainly return to this place if I visit Tunis again!

Cozy family home, nice hosting family, only with some missing things in the triple room. They were open to my suggestions and promised to address them for my upcoming stay. Overall, Tunis village is a secluded village and I liked it a lot.

We had a really lovely stay and received so much support from the family... from airport transfers, desert safari and a pottery session for my son... and playtime with the kids... a wonderful breakfast. all was lovely.

“Family stay in an authentic Tunis house”

It is a quiet house. Very familiar and welcomy. There are only three guest rooms so not much movement of people. They have a pottery workshop in the garden and a shop with their creations. I did a small pottery class in the workshop. The artists don't speak English but you get to communicate 😊 Plenty of children from family around, which is nice if you are traveling with kids. My daughter played a lot with them. Breakfast is not included but it is cheap and I strongly recommend it. It is a good egiptian breakfast. Location is good. Near to the main road and ATMs. Gihed and Hany (the live out kids) speak good english and they manage the family communication. They are nice, helpful and cheerful. Please be aware that this is not a luxury hotel. Is a humble home that give all the welcome oasis egiptians are famous for.

I went with my family, first of all The location is amazing just two minutes away from all the attractions points in Tunis village, the rooms are great value against price ,clean and wide, the staff are super nice you will live the experience of being hosted by one big nice family they will help you in anything you would need during the trip ….. i recommend this stay for families and also groups …..

The beautiful room the family care the delicious breakfast

We came for a relaxing and authentic discovery and we all loved our stay! The atmosphere, the people... all was simple and so charming! It is in a quiet area and the family running the place can help you to get any you need/want. They were kind and helpful. We slept so good there and the food was delicious! True nutriments and taste! The tour they propose is really nice too! It does not feel like a tourist touring, but really like a discovery of the local treasures.

Great hospitality and location. It's quiet and feels nice to stay with this lovely family while having all your privacy at the same time. Beautiful energy. Trips were perfectly organised and you can ask anything anytime. The pottery is amazing. We enjoyed a safari to wadi el Hitan and the Magic lake. We would stay here again. The rooms are looking even more cosy in real than from the pictures!
