“Wonderful experience”

Fabulous old fashioned hotel in super location near the Bilbao ferry. Roberto was wonderful and gave us a super welcome. Very nice continental breakfast, great value. I would love to stay again.

This hotel was perfect for us to rest in on our way to the the ferry in Bilbao. It is a lovely old stone house. The bird song in the morning was stunning, as was the coffee and pastries at breakfast. The host was very welcoming and helpful.

The hotel was just a few kilometres from the motorway and easy to find. There was plenty of private parking. The check-in was very friendly. The hotel is a beautiful old building and he gave us a short tour and told us about the history. The room was spacious and comfortable. We arrived on the day of the week when the restaurant was closed (we knew this in advance) so we did not get a chance to try the dinner or the breakfast. But there were cafes just a short walk down the street. The night was quiet and we slept well. In general, it was a very charming and comfortable place to stay.

Super friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff. Wonderful old renovated building with comfortable, clean, and functional bedrooms. Nice bar with delicious pintxos. Superb value for money. Great location as a base for hiking and cycling in a stunning part of Euskadi.

“A character establishment providing an enjoyable experience”

This place has a great ambience. The staff were fun, the service friendly. The restaurant provided a varied menu and our food was very good.. Breakfast was included in our booking cost. We made a small diversion from the AP 68 having driven from Catalunya for close proximity to Bilbao, for the ferry the following day. We do the journey twice a year and would certainly do the same again.

Restaurant is excellent

The hotel is beautiful, the staff went out of their way to help. The food was fantastic, breakfast and dinner. The bedroom was warm and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Charming old house. Although the main host doesn't speak English, he's very good at using online translator.

The accommodation was quiet, nicely cleaned and overall welcoming. We appreciated the local restaurant which was probably the best option in the area. The free parking was definitely handy as well. The hotel has amazing charm. We also really liked the bathroom which looked like brand new. We only stayed overnight at this hotel, but it's still one we will not easily forget.

The situation is lovely and the building itself beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful, Roberto took us on a tour of the hotel and told us about its history. Probably ate the best steak in the restaurant in the evening, the lunchtime menu offered excellent value for money and the restaurant and bar had lots of locals eating and drinking, lovely atmosphere in both.

A beautifully restored ancient building with excellent accommodation. You can walk out into the natural forest park behind the building. A truly wonderful spot... very friendly and helpful staff who take pride in their work. Thank you Roberto!

“Full of cool surprises”

The hotel had a nice cosy atmosphere, the rooms were spotless and the decorations all around were well-thought. The food was really really good and the staff so thoughtful. The wonderful reviews we read on booking brought us here and we would like to add ours too.
