The cabin was absolutely beautiful - so cosy and very clean. Minna ensured we had everything we needed, including adding in a microwave and travel cot to ensure our stay with the baby was comfortable. The view from the window was more than we could have imagined, to wake up here each morning was an absolute dream, we miss these views terribly. Minna met us on arrival and took us straight over to the property to show us around and explained everything really clearly. We were nervous about using an arctic toilet but this was nothing at all to be concerned about and did not have any impact at all on our stay. The sauna was an amazing highlight - again, Minna was wonderful - she spent a lot of time preparing it for us and even popped a baby bath in filled with warm water and toys - our daughter didn't want to get out! My husband and son both did the ice dip in the lake - a huge highlight for them both! The family were just lovely and made our stay super special. There was a slight issue with the door during our stay, Minna could not have done more to rectify as quickly as possible and make sure we were comfortable whilst it was being addressed.

The amazing remote location directly by the lake offers an amazing time to relax and recharge! The traditional sauna experience was exceptional and the owners are super friendly and welcoming. They are happy to share some Finnish culture and make the stay very pleasant and authentic. We loved it!

It was the most authentic experience living in this cabin. We saw the most amazing Northern Lights and really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were amazing!

We loved everything. Minna-Carita and her family are fantastic hosts; we felt completely at comfortable, just like at home. The area is very remote and idyllic, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. We even saw the Northern Lights on 4 of 5 nights. We went on some great snow and ice experiences together and enjoyed the original finnish Sauna a lot, so it's truly a ten out of ten and highly recommended.

We liked all, everything … and then some :). Really authentic homestead with view to a lake, wooden stove and exceptional sauna (separate building). Host is super friendly and helpful. Would go back any time .

We are a family of four and have travelled around the world. Normally we don't write reviews, but it's either terrible or unbelievably and surprisingly great. This accommodation was the best we have ever had. If you want to experience Lapland authentically, this is the right place. No mass tourism, lonely hut on the peninsula on a typical Finnish lake, surrounded by the taiga. Incredibly close to nature. The host family are incredibly warm, hospitable and leave nothing to be desired. They even let their guests use their own sauna hut, prepare and explain everything. They even made a hole in the ice of the lake for us so that we could take a dip after the sauna. Thank you very much, we will certainly come back in a few years.

For its location and hospitality, it stands out as one of the best places to truly experience Lapland. The classic sauna, the cabin nestled in the woods, the view of the frozen lake, and, with a bit of luck, the Northern Lights reflecting on its surface. Minna and her husband have done an excellent job of enhancing what is a truly unique and rare place. We're confident it will leave a wonderful memory for anyone who visits. Thank you for everything :)
