“Great”

This is an amazing place if you're coming to kite and meet people along the way. Delicious breakfast every day, rooms were cleaned every day. If we were missing something it was provided (for instance we needed a hairdryer, which wasn't initially in the room). The hosts were very responsive on Whatsapp and on location there were 2 lovely women (they don't speak English though). Breakfast is the time when you meet your neighbors, fellow kiters, and you immediately become friends! The place is extremely suitable for kiters, with kite storage, hose to clean and place to leave your board. It's also really safe. Located a few meters away from a kite school and restaurant, with beach boys that inflate your kite, help you launch and land. They don't need to be paid, but you'll make them happy with a small tip.

This was an amazing and fun experience staying at the Vila Gara. The staff are outstanding, cheerful, and so friendly and helpful, as are the owners, Aline and Felipe. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts are delicious. It is a private and quiet oasis. The cook makes a delicious gluten free Banana cake, GF pancakes, and GF bread is also available. Aline gave us so much information on kite beaches in Brazil, and with this, we are already planning a return trip. Of course, we plan to stay at Vila Gara!! There are only four units, which makes it cozy and friendly, and everyone from everywhere around the world meets at breakfast to have wonderful conversations, and you meet the most amazing people. They are located next door to Kitesurf Adventure, which makes it easy and fast to get out on the water.

The Vila was perfect for us. The room is big and also the bathroom was full of space and comfortable. All the details in the room and outside are so nice. We like the fact that the Vila gives you privacy but you can feel like you are a guest of family that takescareofyou. Daisy and Telma are so nice, always smile and helpful . The Vila is about 25 meter from the beach so it was very easy with the kite equipment.

Ilha do Guajiru is great for kitesurfers. However, if some in your group are not kitesurfers or like to watch kitesurfing, then you need to like the place you are staying at and use their facilities as there is not a lot else to do unless you drive away somewhere else. Even going for a decent length walk is not that easy as the town is small and there are no walkable beaches within walking distance. Vila Gara is not directly on the lagoon but located just behind a similar size building/accommodation. This will no doubt mean that it is slightly cheaper to rent a room here, but compared to other kitesurfing locations on the north east coast, Ilha do Guajiru is in our experience, more expensive overall for everything (restaurants, coffee, etc.). Location wise, Vila Gara is absolutely fine. It takes only 20 seconds to walk down a path to reach the lagoon. It takes a few minutes walk to reach the town centre (which is really just one street). For kitesurfing, you can rig up gear on an adjacent hotel garden just 40m up from where you reach the lagoon and their are always helpers to launch and land kites - Vila Gala told us about this - its an excellent agreement/setup. You can be on the water within 5 minutes of leaving your room if you can pump your kite up quick enough. Accommodation and staff were great - on par with most other places we stayed. Same for breakfast. Nice and clean - good wifi, good AC, etc. Kite storage lockers. Parking on the road - Nice and safe.

Lovely, quiet pousada with all the amenities. Great breakfast and just a few steps from the lagoon for kitesurfing.

Felipe is an amazing host! Vila Gara is the perfect place to stay during a kitetrip. The nice and cozy atmosphere increases the interaction with other guest. Kiteschool Loop2fly on walking distance, Telma and sir serving a great breakfast every morning and going out for dinner with Felipe made our stay unforgettable

It's a beautiful property, just perfect if you come to Brazil for kiting. It has proper kite storage, is located at the beach (second row which helps to be protected from the wind), and has very nice, large, clean rooms. Breakfast is very good too. The owners are very responsive and helpful in case of any issues or questions.
