“Good hotel that could be better”

This hotel has a main building and an additional building a few minutes walk (uphill). I stayed in both buildings. My first room in the main building, had double glazed windows overlooking the road, which let in alot of natural light. The a/c was adequate and quiet.room and bathroom exceptionally clean. Breakfast was very generous in quantity and selection and was served on the rooftop on the other building with sensational views of Istanbul.

I thought there was a rooftop area and restaurant- but no there is not so the description is misleading; rooms are small but well set up; some staff is helpful but others not so much; coffee place inside doesn’t open until 10 - which seems kind of late for a coffee place; where is the rooftop bar!!!’

“An excellent stay!”

The hotel was clean, equipped with all the neccesary things (for the first time I forgot the tooth brushes, and we were happy to find 2 in our room). The staff was really helpful especially Emrah before our arriving (it was May 01, and there was a problem with the transportation) and also Taha who helped us during check out, he was really kind and helpful. One of our friends also forgot the phone in the recepsion during the check out, and Taha informed us before we even noticed it.

Great location, everything very accessible from there, close to main area of Galata and next to the tram station. Nice size room with a comfy bed. Staff were super helpful with any questions we had.

Excellent location near Galata Tower and close to the ferry and tram, making it easy to access most major sights. The hotel is very clean with beautiful décor and a welcoming atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and the breakfast is outstanding—traditional Turkish style with the option to order extra bits. Plenty of great restaurants nearby too.

Beautiful room and extremely comfortable bed, excellent staff, delicious breakfast. All these on top of the perfect location, easy to reach by foot a lot of landmarks.

“Incredible place with an amazing breakfast experience”

I stayed at DeCamondo Galata in June with my partner and really loved the experience. So much so that I went back to Istanbul at the end of October with my mother and decided to stay there again. Staff are super friendly, the rooms are comfortable (spacious too), clean and tastefully decorated and the location is truly unbeatable. My absolute favourite part about it, though, has got to be their breakfast. Everything is delicious, the food selection is great, and you sip on your coffee whilst overlooking the Bosphorus from their rooftop terrace. Truly fantastic experience.

I was really impressed with the cleanliness, the overall ambience of the rooms and the hotel itself. We were assigned building 3 upon arrival. The location of building 3 is a bit of a climb but closer to Galata tower with lots of food options. I would definitely be coming back.

Great place and location

The staff, the view from the rooftop and the size of the bedroom.

1. The elevator wasn't working. 2. We were initially given a room with a view of a garbage dump in a remote courtyard. 3. There's a discrepancy between the photo and the actual property. 4. The floor in the room was sticky. 5. The robes were dirty. They clearly smelled of sweat!
