The accommodation is having great views directly on the sea. We had rooms on west side and it was amazing seeing sunset everyday. Food was really delicious. Also breakfast was really good. Always fresh fruit and juice. Staff is very helpful and nice. Especially Juan😊 and also guy who is driving the boat (forgot the name🙈)

The location is unique and absolutely stunning. Due to its position it has beaches on both sides of the island side. Compared to the neighbourhood this seemed to be the only hotel, unspoiled by day trippers and without music. The hotel has only few rooms, so even if fully occupied it never gets crowded Food quality, considering the size and position we found ok

The views are beautiful from the property and they have access to the sea on two sides which means you can enjoy the water out of the wind pretty much at all times. Juan Camilo was a very good host. He was attentive and very helpful with any questions we had. He even walked us along the trail into the centre of the island to show us the way. The inside of our room was nice. Big and spacious, nicely furnished and with a huge, comfortable bed.

“Relaxing escape”

The staff is exceptionally friendly and kind, they offered us help and advices all the time. I haven't received such a great service from the staff many other times while travelling. The location is great if you want to escape from the crowd. The perfect spot to relax. The food was very tasty and prepared with love and care, as well as the cocktails. Probably the best arepas and empanadas we had in Colombia. The bed itself was big and comfortable. I liked the rustic style of the room, very big, white, clean and open space.

Secluded Hotel on Isla Grande. I stayed there 1 night for scuba diving. Very attentive staff, they show a great level of hospitality! The room was rustic but cozy. Great for spending some time relaxing in a hammock or on their private pier (beautiful view 😍)

“A zen place”

We had an unforgettable stay at isla unica. The place is beautiful and immediately makes you feel zen. The staff is super friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Juan Camille for being so kind and attentive. They also offer tours which are highly recommended (esp the snorkeling). Food is great.

“A Unique Island Stay on Colombia’s Carribbean Coast”

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights at Isla Única at the end of September. Isla Única is set on the edge of Isla Grande in the Rosario Islands. You will need to arrange a boat transfer to and from the island, which can be arranged with staff. An extra charge applies for large bags, so you may need to find a storage option on the mainland in Cartagena. The hotel has its own private pier to welcome boat arrivals. This also allows guests to relax and access the sea immediately from the hotel, and the site also has a separate set of beach loungers and decking to watch the sunset. Playa Libre is a 10-15 minute walk away with a selection of beach bars and restaurants. The Hotel Única staff are very friendly, responsive and welcoming. Juan was especially helpful in arranging a snorkel trip and visit to see the bioluminescent plankton in a nearby lagoon (both highly recommended and reasonably priced). The hotel provides snorkel masks, Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boards and an impressive sea kayak free of charge for guests. We happily spent our days soaking up island life, watching the boats and fishermen pass by, and snorkelling both in the immediate area where plenty of fish can be found playing around the jetty and nearby rocks. The room itself was clean and spacious and the bed included a mosquito net. Be prepared that the facilities are relatively basic, meaning the shower relies on rainwater and there is a fan to keep cool rather than air conditioning. The mosquito net worked perfectly well, but you should expect there to be bugs around the site (which is beyond the control of the hotel), so you should dress accordingly or use protection. Wifi in the hotel worked surprisingly well. Breakfasts consisted of fresh fruit, and a selection of options including tea and coffee, eggs and pancakes. We enjoyed a number of fresh fruit iced drinks at very reasonable prices.

Everything. The location is great, the hotel has two beach site so you have options to avoid music coming from other places. There is no music at the hotel which is great! The view is great. The personel always helps and there for you. The seafood is fresh and great. We were there from Tuesady to Friday so I can't tell much about the weekends. Weekdays are calm and great.

“Perfect place to relax!”

Such a perfect place to zone out and relax for a couple of days. Such a relaxing place, and Jose was such a great host. Would encourage booking weekdays as I found it a lot quieter and also, great massages.

“Better than Expected”

I have to begin by saying that the accommodation is not really like the pictures. However, we still loved it. You need to be prepared that there is no AC – but a fan instead of it. Also, there is no hair dryer. The water pressure is low because water comes from rain. On the other side, we had a most wonderful stay here. Despite the fact that we stayed over the weekend and many party boats passed by each day of our stay, our accommodation remained private, quiet and peaceful. We got a beautiful room with a balcony and hammock on it. We could open the door and have a stunning view from the bed. It was like from another universe. The food was delicious. We praised the chef every day. Omelette was one of the juiciest evet and my favourites are empanadas con queso y arepas con queso. We tried almost all the options off the menu and loved them all (try the cocktails from the bites). Afterall, the most and best, long lasting impression left the staff who are all wonderful, kind, hospitable, friendly and genuinely caring. They make excellent and good quality cocktails, they were always there for us, to assist with anything. Dardeis, the manager, helped us by booking trips for snorkelling and taking us out for dinner in a local gastro bar on the island. He is one of the most professional workers in hospitality industry we’ve ever met. We also had the privilege to meet the owner of the complex who is a kind, warm and welcoming personality. PS It helps a lot if you speak Spanish.

“A Tranquil Gem”

The attentiveness and friendliness of the staff make this place a real gem. They are always available and checking if the guests are alright. The chefs magic up really tasty food and the room was large and comfortable. The guy that makes the Pina coladas knows about cocktails!Because it's small you end up being friendly with other guests.Ot has a nice atmosphere and is in a nice location. The decorative touches and various seating areas add to the experience.

Possibly the only hotel in the islands without blaring music. The peace was lovely. Fantastic room ( no 7) , really nice staff. Food a bit unexciting but perfectly good. A great place to unwind.

Jose was the highlight of our visit. He was so kind, attentive and patient with our broken spanish. The food and drink was excellent (the Mango daiquiris!!!). The room was beautiful with a huge California king sized bed, very clean with interesting architecture and lighting. The views from all sides of the property were stunning. 100% highly reccommend staying here for a chill, relaxing stay
