The location was good and the man who greeted me seemed friendly enough. It was not too far away from a big shopping area and mall.

“Awful”
There were no instructions re booking in so I arrived as I had said between 8 and 9 pm. I rang the bell and after pushing the door a few times it opened. I went up in the lift to find it very dark when I got out but I could seen the Pension door so I knocked and continued to knock increasingly loudly until someone answered. This turned out to be by other guests. We had no language in common but eventually they found one of the four rooms was empty. Shortly after this the proprietor arrived and shouted very angrily at me in Spanish . He then used google translate and said I had broken in to his property! Eventually he booked me in but the whole experience was very unpleasant. In retrospect I can only assume I was supposed to ring him on arrival but I had had no messages to this effect either from him or booking.com The booking.cominformation said that the property offered luggage storage but after this experience I did not dare leave my luggage there which caused me a lot of inconvenience.

“Clean, but aging, noisy, and 4 rented room share 1 washroom.”
Despite some drawbacks, only 1 block off Camino route. Very comfortable bed.

“Great Base to Explore Region”
Perfect location. Bus stop very close and good bus network to get around. 20 minute walk from airport. All shops close by. Building has lift. Comfortable bed. Double room was spacious. Heating. WIFI. Train for San Sebastian day trip 4 minute walk. Train for Hendaye 5 minute walk. Bus stop for Hondarribia also close by. Perfect base to explore region. Shared bathroom always clean and water hot.

It's right in the city heart, easy to access with any transport. Check-in is quick. The room was small but very convient. It was pretty clean. I slept very well.

A great location for staying overnight if you want to catch the train only metres away. Surprisingly quiet and very clean. Great value. The owner was very helpful
